Well the injury stick is beating me down, so I'm looking for help at SP. For any future-oriented teams, I'm willing to move Ragans or Schwellenbach in the right deal.
-
I do not have the makings of a very good playoff team.
2nd highest Offense, 3rd worst pitching

Just did a double take at the live auction board... guess someone's anticipating a not guilty verdict on Thursday.

Looking for a mid-season replacement manager in my other league, which is also a Fangraphs points league. It has some good pieces (Marte, Contreras, Ozuna, Wheeler, Rodon, Diaz, Munoz), but is currently in last place and this is likely a rebuild for the remainder of this season but can easily contend in 26. For the contenders, I'm really enjoyed rebuilding one team while contending with my other team this year. Gives you the chance to do both at once.
-
Fwiw, I didn't mean to cut Dezenso, gonna put him back on my team.

Buehler, Darvish & Miller on waivers at same time... and I'm not sure I want to give any of them a flyer. How the mighty fall.

pretty please no injury stick thanks 🙏

alright, Hearty's team needs to get beat with the injury stick for any hope of catching up, but I'm feeling like I can make a run for a spot in the top 4 at this point if my SP stabilizes here. Last 30 days has been promising....

Let’s just say it is :)
I’m as shocked as anyone, I was about to cut Brown the next time I needed to free up cash.

Rob is that a record for the most points in a single game for a reliever?
-
9 months younger than Happ
-
Alonso is only 5 months older than King.
-
It’s gonna look bad for me at some point (two young studs for two old studs)- hopefully later versus sooner. As someone who has been at bottom of standings for years I need to see if I can contend this year and Alonso can help if he keeps it up. And Happ is pretty reliable.

Spicy trade…
-
Thanks! I think it's a pretty even deal. Could not get him to give up Cruz (I can't blame him for that).
-
We went back and forth a few times with these names. Def no clunkers in this deal.

Solid trade

Ah bummer, you’re a worthy opponent. I personally like the auction format and find it more fair and challenging. But to each their own…

I will remain active through this season, but giving you guys plenty of advance notice. I do not care for the auction format and will be out after this season.

Good work not starting Nestor today, Dr. Funke

Does anyone else see Zack Gelof’s name and think “oh yeah, he was pretty good in The Wall?”

The grind starts tomorrow, set those lineups.

If it's a rebuilding year W2, I'll take Betts off your hands and a loan for Condon and Horton :)

Warren is an unproven pitcher with potential that will start the year in his team's rotation. Sasaki is an unproven pitcher with potential that will start the year in his team's rotation. Cole will be $17 in dead money after being cut. Sasaki and Warren have a $26 difference in salary. W2 is $43 ahead of where he'd be cap-wise to basically have an unproven pitcher with potential on his roster either way.
-
Yeah I would say I actually like this trade for W2? Sasaki undoubtedly has SP1 ceiling, but its also $28. No one else paid that at auction, and to be a keeper next season he basically needs to hit his 90th percentile outcome IMO. Makes sense for KAW to take a shot on him too with all that extra cash.
-
If Warren breaks out, he could have a season like Sasaki's. Roki is amazing but how many guys pitched over 100 innings a year at his age? He's done it a couple times already. He's a really good pitching prospect but the Dodgers have every reason not to overwork him. I got Sasaki at $19 in another league. Plus I have Cole in, ahem, a number of other leagues and psychologically I can't bear the waiting to cut and renominate him. It's a rebuilding year for me anyway.

I didn't understand, but I guess if we consider Cole an immediate cut, it works out to Warren + $17 loan for Sasaki. Still feels lopsided to me, but given the small sample size in spring training so far, maybe this works out fairly...

Great to hear! Trading is my favorite part of a fantasy league. I wanted a team I needed to rebuild from practically scratch, which means this won't be my last trade!
-
Giving up Sasaki for Warren to save $17 if he just cut Cole is a helluva risk. That being said W2 has a lot of prospects and if he uses the cap savings to do something, might work out.
I also like giving W2/Alex shit for his moves, we’ve been in the same fantasy leagues since 2006.

Pinochle Jacks has it correct. I traded him Warren, the $26 difference in cap space between him and Sasaki, and taking on the worst salary in the league for Sasaki. Considering he had $0 in cap space, that seems like a steal for him. No one else would have taken Cole with no loan involved no matter how good the rest of the deal was.
However, I like to make lots of outside the box trades such as this. Is that going to be an issue?
-
basically an NHL trade to get Cole off the books?
-
I’m going to need a written defense of that trade. :)

3. If you are in on a nominated player and your computer freaks or the internet connection or the ottoneu servers, let us know immediately and I can pause the draft and put the player back on auction. Again, that slows us down quite a bit but everyone deserves a fair shot.
4. Test your system tonight or get in early tomorrow to make sure you have a good connection and any browser issues and are familiar w/ the layout and nomination process.

Good Morning fellow baseball fans!!! It's draft day!!!! Reminder of the rules of draft etiquette
1. If you can't make it or you're running late, please try and arrange a proxy. Someone at the Ottoneu community league is usually willing to jump in if don't know anyone.
2. You MUST nominate someone when your turn comes up. At the beginning of the draft, it's just annoying & slows it down if you miss a turn, at the end of the draft it's a competitive advantage and I'll be
