Thank you, yes I went 3 for 4 in FG Pts leagues this year. It was a great season playing with you all here!
-
I canāt go out like this! Will be back and am changing name because moved to Rogers park. Nice win Lumberkings and thanks to commissioners for keeping a tight ship.
-
I am back

I think our league is in better shape next year with some solid owner additions. Hopefully all of you will return. Please notify us if you plan on not returning so we all can get started on ownership recruitment.
-
Congrats Lumberkings! Does that make three titles this year? Great season and you too Tumbleweed on a very close 2nd place.
-
I am planning on next year! Just dropped Abreu because he deserves to compete for championship this year.
-
I plan on being back, everyone has been pleasant to work with so far, and I didn't trade for all these prospects for no reason lol.
-
Iāll be back. Love the leagueāweāve got a good group of managers here who treat each other with respect and steer clear of drama. What more could you ask for!
-
What is everyoneās plans on next year as far as returning for another season?

Trade season is almost over. Any last minute deals before itās too late?
-
I hope he doesn't get injured as well. He deserves a big contract. Ohtani seems like the ultimate team player. He could have his agent tell the agents to cut back on his usage (pitching) because of worries that he will hurt his arm. The Angels should do that anyways, they are way out of the race.
-
Ohtani is hard to believe, and I hope he stays healthy and keeps this up. But I would be very reluctant to sign him to the contract he will get. I donāt see how a human body can do what he does much longer without breaking down. Iām not saying itās inevitable, but I donāt believe anyone can keep doing what he is doing and not get hurt. I hope Iām wrong.
-
I don't disagree with a bad ending being very possible, but can't disagree more with the thought of Ohtani being "overhyped". He is the greatest baseball player in the universe right now and he will probably lose the MVP this year just because he isn't quite as incredible as he was last year and he is already getting voters fatigue. If anything he is still underhyped.
-
I think the whole Ohtani hype machine is overdone. I see a bad ending for Ohtani, it always happens to overhyped players.
-
At this rate, why not San Diego? All the cool kids are going there.
-
I hope Ohtani ends up in Seattle next year.
-
Angels should have traded Ohtani at the deadline. They lose with him and Trout, they can lose without him. The word āforearmā in any Ohtani news is going to be devastating to LAA. Ohtani would have brought them a great start on actual team building.
-
You wonāt have to worry for long. Guys like Ohtani have chronic injury issues. Ohtani and the Angels will have to choose one or the other very soon.
-
It's also hard when he pitches the night before you don't see him on your hitter bench because he's in your pitching lineup and have to remember to make that switch. Hopefully with the rule change next year it will be easier to just leave him in the Util slot. First world problem!
-
I have to be more diligent managing Ohtani! I accidentally left Wong in my Util slot and of course he played in an early day game so the slot got locked. So naturally Shohei goes off for a 3 hit 2 homer game on my bench lol.
-
I dropped a DM to Woba.
-
I think we have a core of good committed owners. If any of you know of any potential good owners that you can recruit, and bring in, let me know.
-
I'm pretty sure Northbrook Teflon will be back. He hasn't logged for awhile but he is pretty swamped right now as he is running for U.S. Congress.
-
I am embarrassed to see he has not logged in since 4/22, and yet he is still beating me š
-
Just curious, has anyone heard from WOBA Fett? They haven't been active in over 3 months so just wondering if we think maybe they should be abandoned at some point?
-
A contact problem that severe is hard to fix. If he does, he sure has the power and speed to be a star. But itās hard to see him as a budding star when he just canāt hit the ball.
-
He has over 30% K% at AAA this year. I just don't know if he is going to figure it out.
-
I will gladly allow someone else to pay Jo Adell to strike out constantly. I hope he works out better for you.
-
The dreaded āforearm strainā for Luzardo. Poor guy was having a really good year and re-establishing himself as an up and coming SP. i hope itās not TJS, but TJS usually starts with āforearm strainā.
-
I like Jeimer Candelario , but am way too full at third base. Looking for a closer, perhaps a pitcher, or a multiple position player. Because of inevitable injuries and slumps (especially with my old team)ā¦. Iām not desperate to trade but Jeimer is top of my block. And am always willing to trade anyone on my team if I get value in return!
-
Nah, I was just trying to razz the original Flying Squirrels (King of the North).
-
I think I will just stick with being the LumberKings. Especially since my pitching is rather suspect right now. There is a LumberKings in Clinton IA. I try to stick with local/historic themed names.
-
Do I sense a new team name coming from you? Maybe Winnetka Monarch(s)? Kind of ironic to pluralize that!
-
There is only one king in the North and he resides in Winnetka.
-
Also decided on a new name! Those of you in multiple leagues with me, good luck trying to remember that I am the same person that runs Flying Squirrels in your other leagues!
-
I feel surprisingly good about my team considering I drafted with zero prep and from my phone and didn't get to finish!
-
I just saw my post appears 3X. Sorry for the repetition - itās a glitch not an attempt at humour.
-
Nice draft everyone !
-
Abreu, Chapman, and all my low cost vets are up for grabs. Iām looking for catchers, pitchers and utility players. Also I have plenty of cash available if anyone is looking to dump a costly star for cash

The fun part starts now - trade season. Who wants what for whom?

Reminder: Draft Day: Saturday, April 2, 2022 6:00 PM EDT
-
I can do that
-
Can we do Saturday, April 2, 5pm CST?
-
Sounds good, I really just can't make 2 PM CST work, should be able to anytime after 4 PM CST though. Have family coming from several states away for an event at 2 PM that I can't miss.
-
Yes we are changing the time if we can all agree. I DMād Moose and asked what time(s) work for him.
-
You might be able to find a proxy on the Ottoneu workspace on Slack. And I also think weāre changing the time to a later time, is that right Winnetka?
-
Anyone know somebody who could draft for me?
-
Welcome new owners, glad to have you on board!
