And that is before a large number of owners cut him before Jan 31st. You'll see that number come down to about $35, but thats still almost $5-$10 most people feel he could be worth this year.

I'll repeat myself... I am closer to winning this year by adding these 2 pitchers than not. Its my right to use my cap space the way I feel is best for my team, and I did exactly that... Its not like I traded Kluber for Aaron Harang and Jerome Williams. I just traded for 35 wins, 375 K's and ERA's in the high 2's.. low 3's. Look at last year's standings, then look at my team and the #1 and #2 teams and tell me I didn't just move ahead of the pack...

The $43.56 is how much his average salary is across all 5X5 leagues in Ottoneu. Not how much he's worth. Felix's steamer projected value (an actual projection) is $24.

Wins are not good predictors of future performance. K/BB, FIP, XFIP, SIERA are equal or favor Kluber. I will entertain the idea that Kluber and Felix are equal talent wise, but with $30 difference Kluber is by far the more valuable asset.
-
If you kept Kluber and let Felix go to auction (Which he will because Donkeys can't afford to keep him) you could probably get him for less than 39$ and keep Kluber

Regardless Chen will not ever compete for a cy young. Wins mean very little. I also disagree that he is work $17. Maybe $9 at best.

There is a much bigger gap between PINEDA and Franklin Gutierrez and that deal went through
-
I agree i got the better end of the deal otherwise I wouldn't have made the deal but Felix is 29 and has a longer track record of success. Veto a trade between cry youngs? Chen is valued at $17 btw

I would like to hear why this trade was accepted.

Would agree with the other two for the same reasons. Thats a terrible trade.

Kluber won 9 games last year. Felix won 18 / Chen won 11 - Chen is now pitching in a huge pitcher's friendly park and in the NL. He also won 16 games in 2014... he should easily get 15 wins. Felix will be Felix, and if you click on his name, in 5x5 leagues, he's valued at $43.56 - Maybe YOU consider him a cut, but I don't. I see my team getting stronger with Felix and Chen than with just Kluber. I had the cap money and "IF" Felix went to auction, I couldn't be certain to win him b
-
Kluber* not kruger. Kruger is no good.
-
I am also using my veto. Kruger has been superior to Felix the past couple years in almost every category. Chen is a depth piece at best. The talent being moved is arguably equal, with a slight edge to donkeys. But the money involved makes this overwhelmingly one sided. Donkeys is getting the better player and huge cap relief.
-
The most recent trade between Donkeys and the new owner is straight up absurd. I'm vetoing and suggest others do as well. Kluber is easily the best player in the deal and is super cheap. Felix is a cut.

TILLMAN TROOPS team will be marked as abandoned. I've had no response from the owner and he has not checked in since November. I'll give him a couple of days max so that the new owner can still make trades prior to Jan31st keeper deadline.

Works for me. Just hoping the league stays active that's all.

What happens is that the new owner will have a window of two days to make cuts with no penalty. I'll make sure all owners are active prior to the draft. The owner replacement is not too hard as this site is getting more attention now.

What happens if we still have a couple of owners who remain inactive and don't make cuts prior to the deadline winding up over the cap?

REMINDER: You have until January 31st to cut players with no cap penalty. Past that deadline every player that you cut will impact your cap room (50% of players price tag, check rules for all info)
I still see a lot of teams exceeding the cap room...

A cut at $6? You have at least 10 players that are obvious cuts: Tulo $46, Beltre $38, Kipnis $26, Bruce $18, Myers $17, almost all your batters except for Rizzo. Pineda is ranked ahead of Teheran $23, your most expensive SP. I'm voting against this trade, this doesn't mean the trade won't go through, 6 more owners would need to veto the trade.
Pineda is ranked as the #39 SP, rankings from 8 experts range from #26 to #40. This format has 5 SP slots. At least the top 60 should be rostered
-
Pineda is a cut for me. If he's a top 100 player at $6 maybe someone should have shown some interest.
-
Gutierrez for Pineda?? OK, Gutierrez hit 15 HR in 189 PA last season, but they guy is 32 and he has never reached 20 HR. Also his HR/FB% was 36% when his career avg is 10%. He stole some bases in the past but had zero last year. Steamer has him at .258/ with 13 HR and 2 SB.Pineda is a top 100 keeper, a former top prospect finally healthy coming from a very unlucky year (68% LOB%, .332 BABIP) his 4.37 ERA will certainly go down, Gutierrez is not a top 100 OF and is not in anyones top 500 list
