NGB, maybe itโs their history of post-season success that has us worried?

Heard on the radio today that Acuna is the player who's teaching us that 30-30 is not an achievement, it's a disappointment!
-
The vaunted big three starters of the Nats brought home only 1 victory against a Cardinals lineup w/ only 2 hitters sporting an OPS north of .800 and none north of .815! Exactly why is anyone suppose to fear meeting these guys in the post-season?
-
You guys are right on target, I bought a sweet Fat Tire baseball cap and Maria bought a Voodoo Ranger tee shirt for her brother.
-
Voodoo ranger
-
Fat Tire
-
Maria and I are at the New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins on our way to Helena, MT.
-
OMG you teed up so many really awful and inappropriate (and hilarious) responses there. Iโm just gonna pass
-
Henry, tough news on Vazquez, he was dominant
-
Snell and Severino are both back tonight
-
Braves and Cardinals are showing that what you saw was not the Nats being good as much as it was the Cubs being bad.
-
Nats are the biggest choke artists in mlb. If a game matters, Nats are about 3:1 favorites to gag on it.
-
They don't get themselves out, deep counts , small ball team , and power team both
-
Bah, DC in person is the most complete team I've seen.
-
I guess the silver lining is that with nearly a 40-pitch 1st inning, tonight's crappy version of Stras isn't going to use up very many of my remaining innings.
-
I thought all the teams were supposed to be afraid of the Nats in the post-season because of the Nats vaunted starting rotation? Well, Scherzer couldn't handle the Braves and against another potential post-season team, the Cardinals, Stras looks like he might not make it to the 3rd or 4th inning tonight.
-
As a Cubs fan I'd rather see 2001 version of Bonds than Suarez or Rendon
-
How are th ed Brewers doing it , no Yelich and no starters
-
Their travel schedule has been brutal as well
-
Absolutely...
-
Not to be negative , but DC has a tough schedule, except for Marlins, they could be watching playoffs from home
-
Me too...
-
I'm rooting for nationals and Padres this evening
-
Cubs are living a charmed life, despite the Rizzo injury . Didnt see Bell and Marte vs. Pirates and no Votto tonight. They should walk Suarez , however.
-
Brew has a talent for providing locker room bulletin board material. Last season he "guaranteed" his team would finish ahead of mine. My only goal last season instantly became to finish ahead of him! Easily achieved.
-
*beer bet

Maybe not contending in the traditional sense, but I am hoping to put 1000 points between me and Brew (in Capped). My lead was around 200 points when Brew declared my team โover-achieving.โ 1000 is still possibleโand Iโm sure of winning that beer beer (along with the Keller bet)โbut losing Trout makes it harder.

NGB mgmt has to wonder if Trout is really injured or just sulking having heard that at the end of the season he gets his ring in an envelope containing his pink slip!!
-
Trout and Rizzo being out for the season would have been more interesting if either one of them had been owned by one of the contending teams in Capped FC. Then it might have been shades of Bat losing Stanton in 2014.
-
Pirates did an appeal play with a man standing on 3rd , pitcher air mailed toss to 3rd and that runner just scored
-
Trout and Rizzo out for the year
-
Might be some fisticuffs at Cubs vs Pirates today
-
Why isnโt Billy Hamilton running for McCann?

Bat is right, Pirates are down 10 to 1 and are beaning people. 5 so far and counting
-
Thatโs surprising. I plugged my old Arlington VA zip code into Bells beer-finder; youโre right, only a couple places came up, and they were like Trader Joeโs, so probably very limited selection. But, dozens of places came up across the river in DC, so at least Mikey doesnโt have to go far. Good availability in Georgia; looks like my local Texaco carries something from Bells.

Virginia can't get Bells beers
-
Back to the hazy ipa, I'm having one right now across from.Wrigley. bells official , and it's rather tasty
-
Wind is blowing out again, but slightly 7 to 10 mph. No gusts
-
Geez there is a shitload of all stars, future HOF, and 5 tool players when Braves and DC play. Fans get more than their money's worth.
-
Go Atlanta !! Slim chance Cubs get home field vs. DC. Would definately start Yu in a 1 game match up
-
He will be @ wrigley monday for 3 games , more warm weather more gusty winds blowing out
-
Well I'm keeping him at a 1$ , not run out,just a lull.
-
Brew, Has the Punisher run out of steam already? I think Hurricane Hazel lasted longer than that! And even after the Hurricane became a gentle breeze, I'm pretty sure he was still putting up more than the brutal 0.47 ppg the Punisher is managing these days (last 10 games anyway).
-
Cole has 5 straight over 40 , 3 of which are over 60.
-
Sixth start in a row Scherzer has failed to break 40 pts, Stras gets the wild card start if the Nats are paying attention.
-
Cubs are great team..IF its vs as shitty team at home and it's about hr/wind is blowing out.
-
16 to 7 still in bottom of 5th, this officially a donnybrook
-
Driving back into town today, so wonโt be going to the game until tomorrow (with Nancy, Leah, and Burns).
-
Congrats! I wonder if Mikey is going to tonightโs Nats-Braves game.
