Would anyone in this league trade a $9 Tucker for a $48 Yelich? I wouldn’t think of it
-
i have a storng sneaking suspicion that trading Edman will bite me in the ass
-
Fred’s comment is why I accepted the Clevinger offer (along with watching the Broncos try to play, and the Ravens/Steelers continue to fail to), so if 2022 doesn’t work out it’s his fault.

Since I've joined the league been a constant battle to acquire OF and SP . If trade to shore up one, I leave the other deficient .
-
Mikey is easy to deal with
-
Kevin, that cracked me up. Nicely played.

I wouldn't concede anything yet. Once the Phillies results are thrown out it will look a lot different.
-
Thousands of illegally scored points were added because our official scorers were not allowed in the parks!
-
If you watch OANN's fantasy coverage you'd know the Kevin is still the champ. Radical left fielders and the fake mlb media conspired to through the season, but true patriots know the real score.
-
Whatever penalty I accrue may be worth watching Fred freak out over being arbed.
-
I second. That's funny (both breaking the rules to jokingly assign arb and the penalty if you don't fix it).
-
Any allocations will be removed by me at the end of the arbitration period. I am tossing around the idea of adding allocations that I have to remove to the team that did the allocating, to players of my choosing. Seems like a suitable penalty. If someone seconds, I'll consider it official.
-
Correct. No Arbitration in the league this year.
-
A couple of owners have allocated some arbitration dollars here. Is that just playing around? We’re not doing arbitration here, right?
-
I'm pretty much a traditionalist when it comes to MLB, but I have to admit that today was pretty cool; very similar to March Madness, which I love (even though I'm not really a college basketball fan).
-
I thought no arbitration for both, but I am not postive
-
I agree with NGB about vote-off. It is really unfair to rebuilding teams. With allocations the presumed better teams have more salary allocated, so it promotes parity. With vote off, each team has their best contract cancelled which seems like it would punish teams that trade for good contracts (sellers).
-
I am not positive we ever really decided in capped, but the consensus was arbitration as normal. Since the incentive for 5-8 is protect one player it sort of requires arbitration though. We did decide not to arbitrate here.
-
I suggested vote off option and NGB had canniptions
-
My memory was no arb here and yes to arb in capped. But its been a long 3 months......
-
I was wondering same thing - no arbitration for both leagues? But we still incur the automatic salary increase for all players?

Looking at the rules, I never noticed the “vote off” option. That could be fun.
-
I don’t recall, did we decide to not to do arbitration in both leagues?
-
I will miss arbitration, but understand the rationale behind not having it
-
Congrats. While my inherited team plummeted in the standings (at least I didn't go first to worst, though), I'm excited for the future for my roster. Maybe I sold for the future a little early, but the initial returns on those deals seems promising. Cheers.
-
Fred was the only owner to hit his starts and innings caps in both leagues - well played, Fred. I don't think I fully maxed out in any of my leagues.
-
Thanks, and congrats to Kevin for nearly running me down.
-
Congratulations Hook! You set the standard once again. Congratulations to all the top managers who kept the contest close up to the last week of the season.

Congrats John! (Again!) and congrats to mlb— I really didn’t think we’d see a 60-game season.

Congrats to Hook for the short season win. It was a fun finish for the RBGs chasing down second. Im glad we got this season in.
-
Sadly, this is the highest I've ever finished in this league
-
With that JDM win, I'd say the Rebuilders have kicked off 2021. Pretty interesting collection of bids.

The battle for 2nd looks interesting, im pulling for Drew

The peril of getting innings at the end of the year. Sometimes you get a Zach Eflin 46 pt start, sometimes you get a Mills -30 start. And FWIW, the only interesting thing about the end of the season is what your victory margin will be.
-
I have a handful of shares, I got lucky that I didn't need the innings anywhere.
-
No problem, it's all part of my apparent commitment to making this way more interesting than it should have been.
-
I appreciate you holding me back from starting that -31 point start, Hook.
-
Ooof. 20 IP for -16 points. Seth lead a rough night for the whole staff.
-
Seth Lugo, assassin of hopes and dreams
-
Mountcastle wont cool off for Henry , may be a star hitter for years to come in that park
-
Of course. Gibson who has been averaging 1.5 pts/inning pitches a 60pt game today...from my bench.

I've lost Hosmer, Fried, and now Chapman in the last week :(
-
They couldn’t get 30. Still the “modern” NL record for runs in a game. The Rangers scored 30 back in 2007 (@Baltimore, so they got to hit in 9 innings). Ron Washington managed that team, and was the Braves 3B coach today.
