I was willing to trade many I'd keep ,like May who I love, but not cornerstone keeper pieces , never . That yo yo template up and down is crap , I play this dynasty style and that's just the way it is. Cubs traded Eloy and cease in 2017 for quintana and are still suffering from it.
-
One should seek cheap contracts keepers for throwbacks, but not tear someone's team down and decimate . Again the point is I'm NOT in 8 leagues, I can't afford to ruin my franchise
-
I feel the market was set with the Bohm Rodgers for Arenado trade . Based on that , I should get someone like bregman for urshela and nolan jones . I strongly resent that only 4 players on my team seemed desirable . Robert, tatis, Cole, bellinger . I thought I'd get a kershaw for May offer ,but none came. As may will soon be able to be 60 day dl , and will start next season as such. Again , who would trade a 16$ tatis ? Fall short and regret your stupidity. I'm 0 for 3 in trades already this ye
-
Kiriloff and Franco could be stars and should both be playing good portions of this season.
-
I made offers with undesirable players. I really don't have cheap desirable players.
-
I made offers to hook with some very desirable players
-
I agree it’s a really uneven haul. But that’s what I tried telling y’all, but you didn’t listen. You set the market for Hook to act before me with something like that by nobody at the top being willing to make the normal move. Not Hook’s fault - it’s yours. (And Fred’s)
-
Pat only gave up one playable player in Montas. The rest are in the minors or on the IL.
-
I mean congrats to Pat. But but in my opinion that is a veto worthy trade, but know it would never happen.
-
Now that's a blockbuster
-
Wow. Are we talking about buyers across the whole top half of the standings?
-
Yes 1 $ easy cut , just need bodies to put in lineup these days
-
At least he's an easy cut now.
-
Wow , just added Marisnek and he just got hurt going for the ball in 1st inning
-
If I were in like 6 or 8 leagues , I would not care so much ,cause at least a few would be exciting and compelling and brighten up long cold January days with hope. But I'm in just these two, and at least one had to be competitive/interesting/hopeful. Lived through 3 years of dogshit teams with no prospect of any short term gratification, never again. Felt like the Greek fable of the man condemned to roll a Boulder uphill, only to have it pushed down over and over.
-
I completely approve of Brent's guys for now for players of 2022 trade
-
I mean ill he honest. Ill trade anyone if the return price is right.
-
Seriously, who in this league would trade a 16$ Tatis ?
-
Gotta love swipe typing and when your really ready to sell
-
Zero have asked about my milb prospects , solak, senzel, France , Urshala etc.... or May, who one could slot 60 day dl and keep. Im keeping May if I don't trade him. The buyers seem fixated roughly on only 4 players my team. Perhaps that will change with more sellers in a months time.
-
Now to me that's a good price for a stud like Mookie you should take notes Hitch abs even your really ready to sell them come ask us buyers
-
Still smarting over trading riley Greene for nothing , Henry got me good . That mckinstry had had 0 at bats for me, so very gunshy of making any moves . I traded Hader and already cut pham , Iglesias is at 4.65 ppi, and Pineda has been ok arm to spot start . Traded Bohm to Charled for Yazshitty and already cut him.
-
In my overly optimistic mind , nolan Jones becomes on low end Carlos Santana and Brennan Davis becomes Ron Gant or Brian Jordan. Preston Wilson. So I don't understand why nobody asks about them ( except for far seeing Kevin )
-
Wander Franco will be close to 30$ here when he gets his first mlb at bat . Much of that's on TB slower than slow process with prospects. This league is skewed towards over valuing youth and potential( I'm one of the worst for this ).
-
I peek in others leagues , and fa guys go for 1$ or 2$ same with prospects. One can rebuild in a year . Not so here , where it's a frustrating long and exhaustive process of two or three years to become even relevant again.
-
I will offer guys I would keep , just not cornerstones of my foundation
-
Spoken like a true landlord Rebuilders. (Even if I generally agree with you, sometimes the rent is just too damn high.)

I mean I have tried buying, but a lot are not selling yet. Also much like everyone else Im not willing to pay a kings ransom for a rental. But if it makes sense then ill make a trade.
-
Bemoan “rentals” all you want, but that’s how you win. Anyone here interested in winning? First person that shows me they would like to win probably will
-
It's a blast watching vlad and tatis too , on a personal level. And bellinger will be back soon ,as well.
-
Revisionist history. You traded him on 4/25...so he had a few bad weeks to start the season. (Maybe Freeman is a bust too?) 2 weeks later (5/9) he (along with Corbin) was traded for Stanton, Chapman, and Corey Seager. You didn’t even look for a market. But, as a more likely buyer than seller, I agree completely that no one should value the rentals they’re trying to sell us too high!

I'm in the Mikey camp of being competitive every year, if this was August and I'm one or two players away, things would be different. But in early May making trades that may or may not help but would put me back into sucksville for next year ,I won't do . It's still too early for me, I could be a seller in a month
-
My point is , it would be foolhardy to trade away high value players when the team in front of me didn't have to
-
Pat, mo day morning qb...at that time Devers was looking like a huge bust was under 3.0 ppg for months
-
Aren’t you the guy who traded Devers for O’Neil? Of course we ask you about your good players—who knows what you’ll agree to? Good luck finding teams looking to make tiny marginal improvements.

I have players other than roberts, tatis, bellinger and Cole. Charles didn't have to trade away any foundation players and neither will I , the market price has been set
-
Offer me one for Urshala and a prospect and I'll say yes .
-
The Arenado deal sort of set the market what costly 1 year rentals that produce points now are worth.
-
I'll make my bad offers again.
-
The win expectancy chart they were looking for. This almost convinces me the man-on-2nd rule might not be nonsense.... https://www.fangraphs.com/livewins.aspx?date=2021-05-08&team=Braves&dh=0&season=2021

Edit: this whole Braves game is unbelievable. Is that really Matt Moore on the mound?

If someone wants to trade me a big producer like Arenado for a low ceiling 3b and a 6 years in the minors never arrived , I'm all ears.
-
The Panda is just unbelievable.

Alright, so Chuck already turned down my best offer, so it’s wide open for the rest of you if anybody wants to take a shot at winning
-
I’m not sure you’re looking to give them away, exactly. Anyway, Acuña just got hit on the hand...hope it isn’t really as bad as it looked.

Fred isn’t interested in improving his team and going for it at the expense of the future, Chuck is being Chuck, Brent claims his offense can’t be improved upon and pitching is all he needs, and Hook has a bare cupboard. For whoever that leaves that wants to compete for cash and glory, I have hundreds of points available I’m looking to give away. I’m annoyed enough with you all that I might take the first legitimate offer, so this is the disclaimer that’s a thing that’s happening soon

Angels Designate Albert Pujols For Assignment
-
Regardless, I still have them as 78 win team
-
I wonder what the Vegas odds would have been of Cubs sweeping kershaw, bauer, beuhler?
-
I’d probably remember Armando better if he’d ever thrown a perfect game.
