Cubs fans kept yelling at Bryant to take a bigger lead off of 1B, maybe his small leads were the ankle tell?
-
My string of 6 consecutive Rockies games in which I got to see at least one Story HR was broken last night, but the disappointment was mitigated by seeing Blackmon's blast. McMahon looked surprisingly good on defense at 2B. If Kris Bryant is playing on a bad ankle (which I read somewhere), I couldn't see any sign of it. Of course the rookie pitcher, Lambert, kept drilling Bryant, so I guess you can hide a limp when walking down to 1B.
-
Brew, Your boys didn't put up much of a fight last night. There were easily 10,000 Cubs fans in the crowd, with only Heyward's HR to cheer for.
-
A Descalso PA!!
-
Cubs travel well. A lot of Blue here.
-
Watching the Cubs feed...you really need to wear a Cubs jersey to be in focus.

Three rows behind Rockies dugout. Bat, I'm in an AFL Scorpions hat, slightly past dead center dugout toward 1B.
-
Charles, timely cutting of Archer; Braves have 4 HRs so far (all in the 2nd inning). And Ser Kluber, you may have caught a break with the Paxton non-start.

Brew, I'm toying with the idea of going to the Rockies v. Cubs game tonight. Story at home against LHP is always worth going to see (although I probably just cursed it).
-
Agree with Bat, no conceivable excuse for 13-0. In other news, the mlb radio former mlb GM's opined that they give the Nats better odds of winning the NL East than they give the Red Sox for winning the AL East!! Nats looking good lately, maybe I'll be correct on at least two predictions... Machado being pedestrian and the Nats winning a ring.

It’s not beach volleyball Brew. But Pugh is Dansby’s girlfriend, and I was a little curious if she’s prettier than him (which is silly: no one is prettier than Dansby). And I didn’t really mind Pugh getting her 1st World Cup goal (though she should have come in a lot earlier) nearly as much as Morgan getting her 4th and 5th goals just today.

You guys are just watching to look at Alex Morgan's ass
-
So, “we’re not assholes—the rules made us do it”? Because 6 or 7 wouldn’t be enough? This is so desperate we need to sub in Mal Pugh—whose sole purpose in life is to attack tired defenses and create chaos—in the 68th minute (instead of a defensive player, or someone who otherwise wouldn’t play)? Except, see France vs S Korea: France had the same easy 3-0 lead at the half (SK never had a shot on goal), and could have added a few more...but didn’t.

Tiebreakers....

Apparently running up the score (it’s 12-0 now) is somehow a “sign of their respect for Thailand.” I’m sure the Thais agree. 13-0 now. This leaves me with one thought: allez les bleus! Or the Netherlands, or Germany, or England, or anyone else.

At least I got to enjoy the Nats’ back-to-back-to-back-to-back HRs as they happened, until I realized it was my relief pitcher on his way to -54 points.....
-
At least NGB pays for guys in hard currency
-
Stupid is as stupid does, but I'm brewing a Duvall clone and my usual testers will get some.
-
Geez did I get smoked on that Orodozzi trade. Bag of scraps deals always bite me in the ass, unless Gatoral is good someday. A 6.5 ppi middle rp, a 2b/3b with so so power in huge park, and a pitching prospect with a hard to say name.
-
Outside of Camden Manny is a replacement level player, but several thousand PA's probably too small a sample size. His .215 average in his new ballpark extremely impressive Skippy.
-
Trout for Jose Ramirez... LOL
-
Heard on MLB radio , that Twins currently rank slightly ahead of 1927 Yankees in slugg%. Lot of season left though. Sooner or later your legs give way and hit the ground.
-
Nations are a bewilderment, as there are at least 6 all stars presently , and a few on the cusp. Not that this is a scientific thing, but they are lacking the "it" factor of some sort. also their bullpen has to be near bottom of NL
-
I still think the Padres are better than the Rockies, and that there continues to be no rational basis for picking against the Dodgers. They’re not quite on the Astros level of total organizational talent, but they’ve got the NL beat easily. I don’t even know what to say about the Nats anymore. There’s some curse at work or something
-
“Machado being a pure creation of Camden Yards and worthless anywhere else” is a take so absurd that Skip Bayless just blushed hearing it.
-
I had Rockies brewers,Braves all missing playoffs
-
Liked Twins ,but as WC, didn't foresee the 2019 Twins ,to have 2nd highest slugging % ever after 2003 Red Sox.
-
It was me who liked Padres, Cubs,Nats..and Mets and Cardinsls as WC
-
*creation
-
Unfortunately, I did get fooled by the Nats again, thought this would be their year to get a ring. The only thing I got right so far was Machado being a pure ceation of Camden Yards and pretty worthless anywhere else.
-
I picked the Brewers to collapse.
-
Congrats on not getting fooled hagain!) by the Nats, and a Brewers pick still seems undecided. I probably imagined it, but I thought it was Brew who liked the 2019 Padres.

So far I'm looking wrong on both the Dodgers and the Brewers.
-
The season is less than half-way, but as long as some are saying the final standings are today, I want my 20 bucks from Slobs!! And no one called the Padres over the Dodgers, Kloobs called them over the Rockies.

Happy Yordan Alvarez Day everyone!

Are you guys talking about the same Will Smith? re the one in the minors, some combination of a ridiculous embarrassment of riches and the Dodgers 10- going on 25-game lead? (We haven’t heard much from the “Dodgers? Not a good team; I like the [Rockies, maybe someone even said Padres?] in the NL-west this year” crowd recently.) re the one who needs to get traded, he needs to get traded to Atlanta.

Strong rumor here of ian happ for wil smith

Why is Will Smith in the minors?

I'll see your Whitley and raise you a Soroka.
-
Here comes the great Tinstaapp debate. Have one in here every year.
-
For every Honeywell there's a Paddock, a Buehler, a Glasnow, a Giolito and on and on. Nice cherry-picking Kloobs.
-
How long have I been waiting on Buxton? How many teams have owned him along the way? It's not just pitchers.
-
Brew, How long you been waiting on Vladito for your payoff, and still waiting unless 4.7 ppg was the payoff you were waiting for?
-
Same could have been said for David Dahl.
-
Whitley isn't exactly healthy either
-
Brent Honeywell, out for the year, again. Before he makes is Mlb debut (if he ever does) he’s gonna have been on a FC roster for at least 4 seasons, traded 4 times, and “played” for almost half the teams in the league.
-
With both holds and saves we're still talking about an imaginary quantity. In fantasy terms, it would still be advantageous to pitch closers because they tend to be good pitchers, but they'd turn into 6 P/IP pitchers instead of 9 P/IP pitchers.
-
Or change the definition of holds.
