Pastime/4me's trade block has been updated!

Mike Tyson must be elated. In comparison to Olivo, ear displacement is on the other end of the spectrum of ear nibbling.
-
Wackiest DL injury candidate? Alex Guerrero's ear literally chewed off by Miguel Olivo (teammates!). That has to rank up there with Adrain Beltre's fractured testicle!

Case of semantics, and our definitions of "impact" have stark contrasts.
-
Huh? I think what you meant to say is since when is an elite prospect worth more than two impact players? I guess that would depend on How old the impact players are? And other financial considerations. Right?
-
Since when are a pair of impact players worth more than an elite "prospect"?
-
I am willing to part with Oscar Tavares for a pair of impact p,ayers in a package deal. If you feel like this may not be your year and want to secure a future stud. Lets make a deal. I have 3 stars on the DL.
-
I agree as well. It would be great to have a DL. It would also present more strategy financially since you would have to pay for short term replacements.
-
I'm just talking about being able to add another player not the length.

But then you would miss at least two months any time a player was hurt...
-
I second that!
-
Sometimes I wish this league treated 15 day DL like 60.

I'll trade Kyle Zimmer for a productive stick. SS would be great, but I will field all offers.
-
Grr, now Josh Johnson is going to get a 2nd opinion from Andrews on his "forearm strain". Not good! If anybody wants to roll the dice on him pre-Andrews visit (nxt Weds) you can have him for free.
-
That is an absurd amount of TJ related incidents. Even Miguel Sano, a hitter had to undergo the surgery because he throws way too much, or like Dr. Andrews mentions: it stems from their youths.
-
Seventeen TJ surgeries already. Crazy. And devastating for fantasy. For anyone with an unexpected hole in the starting lineup...just letting it be known that John Danks is available at the right price...
-
We can go back to not caring about the Marlins now, right? Sweeeeet

Marmol hasn't thrown back to back fastballs in 5 years, good choice to try it out in that sitch, genius.
-
Intentionally walking the bases loaded with Carlos Marmol on the mound? Your asking for it.
-
Emilio Bonifacio - You can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him!
-
No cow had, just thought the penalty was zero points. The roster lock works just fine, though.

Can't recall, either deciding to cut Lucroy's arse (beneficiary for Ridickeylous) or some reliever. Heck I know I didn't garner points from Greg Holland's double save double header day, not like it mattered.
-
Someone had a cow over an illegal roster? War Children is absolutely correct. Besides, last year I had an illegal roster for approximately 2 game days. Alas, I like to micromanage against favorable pitching matchups.
-
especially if an auction ended minutes before games started..though maybe that would create a new strategy of beginning auctions for players at specific times
-
which makes sense, it would suck to miss a day or two of stats just because you won an auction and had an illegal roster temporarily until you were able to log in next and drop a player
-
I don't see a clear answer to this in the rules, but the FAQ state that you "always" accumulate stats, though if your roster is in an illegal state you cannot change the lineup or make trades...
-
My understanding was that you just have to have your roster legal by the end of the day to have the points count. Looks like he already made the adjustment, so his points today should count.
-
You can get points just can't set lineup or do other tasks.

How does corked balls have 42 players on his roster? Anyone? I thought you were not allowed to accumulate points while you have an illegal roster?

You're already in 2nd place!

I can't wait to see those standings zero out from last year
-
The 2014 baseball season begins in less than two hours!
-
My understanding is that they count, but I've checked the rules and my emails and don't see anything on the subject. I'm in a few leagues across a number of formats, and it's tough to remember who does what; regardless, get those lineups set gentlemen...
-
Maybe it was my other league...I'll just assume they count unless we find out otherwise. We'll know tomorrow anyhow.
-
I don't remember that and I scanned some of the old message board postings and didn't see it, so I assume they count, too. That would suck for Pastime if one of his Kershaw games didn't count just because it's Australia.

Of course we drafted early, but I thought maybe danks emailed Niv and the answer was the AU games don't count. Just trying to get clarification...cuz my memory sucks!
-
My assumption is that they would. The reason I asked was that I think I remember some discussion that they may not. When we were trying to set the draft date, someone asked if we drafted after the AU games, they wouldn't count.
-
Top of the page reads, "Season Starts: March 22, 2014". Game on!
-
Why wouldn't it? I'll be up at 4 AM to watch...
-
Do we know for certian if tomorrows games will count in our league?

Holy crap! Baseball starts tomorrow?!?! That snuck up quickly. Woooo!
