I'm the first in league history to reach the innings limit...

Its kind of BS that I check my lineup at 5 and the site has an update after 7:30 that Gio Gonzalez has been bumped up a day. I would have started him as iI had him set to go tomorrow
-
CarGo, Posey available for some pitching.

Ummmm: I put Wheeler in my lineup today and he isn't showing up in my lineup. That better be temporary ...
-
More rule quirks: Just wanted to make sure everyone remembered the 1500 IP limit and the 162 games cap per position--including for catcher. Bottom chart on this page is instructive: ottoneu.fangraphs.com/375/reports
-
In case anyone wondered: Halladay was costing me a $8 cap penalty. I couldn't start an auction for him for a month after I dropped him. Once that time passed, I got him and dropped him again, reducing the penalty to $4.
-
Don't fret --- your pitching looked terrible even without that second decimal.

People have asked how some people have more than 40 players on their roster. Answer is you can add another guy if you have someone on the 60-day DL. Details on that in the rules.
-
The second decimal point makes my pitching look even worse.
-
I wouldn't be surprised on that trigger. I could ask one of the developers. Separately, I keep meaning to send a state of the league update, but time seems to get away. Let me or Erik know if you've any questions/thoughts. And need fees from a few of you.

Dorky question: could it be that fangraphs had an automatic trigger to list the second figure after a sufficient amount of the season had been played (in order not to misrepresent a degree of accuracy)?

Hooray for the second decimal point for P/G and P/IP in the standings.

"05-28-2013 03:33:37 PM: Pineda (shoulder) threw well but cracked a fingernail during an extended spring training outing." You can't have a fingernail unless you have fingers! And that almost always implies a hand! Which often suggests there's an arm!
-
No, no. Pineda had arm-removal surgery a year ago. It's grown almost all the way back! He could be pitching in the majors again in a couple weeks.
-
Oh how we overvalue Yankees. Didn't Pineda just have arm-removal surgery?

Yes! That's the one! The thing that a closer can get when he enters with his team leading 4-2.... as long as he gives up at least three runs! What a winner!
-
A win? Is that the thing a guy can get as long as he goes at least 5 innings and leaves with a lead that's never relinquished, even if he leaves with a 12-11 lead and his team ends up winning 83-82? It seems to be a very telling stat.
-
I just posted a long rant about how stupid "wins" are on the message board for another league I'm in. Glad I don't have to do that here.

According to the rules "if your team is in an illegal state, you won't be able to change lineups or make trades without first resolving that." So I think that means you should drop someone pretty soon.
-
I have 41 players right now. Commissioners, is this a problem? Is there some sort of penalty coming up if I don't drop someone?

The "coin flip" is metaphorical. The winner is randomly chosen by the auction system.

As explained in the rules I sent around, "If two teams are tied, a coin flip will determine who is awarded the player."
-
Hmm, i put in a bid for a player that went for the same price to another team. How is this being determined?

Federation Members: Joe (Rotary's Doom) had Allen Craig and Rafael Betancourt on his roster twice. Both iterations disappear if you remove the duplicate, so I re-added at the price he paid in the auction. You'll see it listed in the transactions section.
