As an owner that’s not involved in the trade, I have nonissue with it. It’s a classic example of a contender trading cheap, young talent for a pricey veteran that will likely not be affordable next year. Fair trade considering teams got what they wanted.

From my standpoint, I'm getting an impact player at my weakest position (though I may not be able to afford to keep him) and a healthy arm for the stretch run even though I'm giving up top young talent at keepable salaries. Great for me this year but maybe not next year. Bad for Nimmo this year but maybe great next year. Win-win given our team circumstances.

From my standpoint, I’m getting two former top 10 prospects in return for Vladdy and Woo while also shedding salary for next season. That’s why I agreed to it.
