Pillar of Teeth's trade block has been updated!
-
Thank you Pillar for all the work! Best of luck to whatever you will be doing instead of Ottoneu.
-
I also want to thank Pillar for his service as commish. I've enjoyed this league for at least 5 years. (it might be longer, I can't remember.) There was a time when I had 3 different ottoneu teams but this is the only one I've stuck with.

Indeed. Thank you Byron for running a great league. Definitely my best fantasy experience to date.
-
Thanks Byron for getting this all set up back in 2011 (who else besides me has been in since that year? Fish and a couple others?). 8 seasons of the funnest and most involved fantasy sports experience I've had.
-
Thanks, Commish.

I'm about to be removed, so let me quickly thank you all for your participation over the last several years. I'm so glad the league is going to continue even after I've gone. Extra thanks to Rime for taking the lead on that. Good luck everyone!

Got someone
-
Alright all, real talk discussion. Our original commissioner Pillar of Teeth - praise be unto him - is retiring from Ottoneu. He let me know that he won't be back next year and said if we want to replace him before the end of the season he's fine with that as well. Anyone know someone who would want to take over his team? If they get in before the season ends, they can do some adds and cuts.

Nah, that’s the Fresh Prince.

I could have sworn Will Smith was already on my team. Maybe this one is the movie star?
-
Someone had too much to drink last night and realized he had money to spend. I'm not even sure names like "Frank Schwindel" and "Matt Thaiss" are actual baseball players.

Naw man, the race is on for second place!

I tried, Rime. I tried to beat you. But it didn't work out. I've now put white flags at the top of my shopping list.

There wasn't a lot of interest in high priced rentals.
-
Well, does that trade about wrap things up? I guess a lot could still happen, but it already seemed like I needed a lot to make up ground in the pitching categories. Return seems a little light, but I didn't make an offer and maybe Neubauten wasn't bidding against anyone. Can't really complain then.

I made it real close, and all I had to give up was cheap long-term assets like Matt Chapman and Marcell Ozuna!
-
Never! It was a close call, you know...

Yeah, that was the big comeback that ended with him winning the league. Wait, are you trolling me?

I don't know, but Rime was pretty far behind late last year and made up a lot of the difference in just a few weeks.

But 15 points is totally doable. Right?

So in the face of the trade deadline I have to concede the fact that I am not going to make up 18 points in the standings in six weeks. Votto, Altuve and Kluber are on the block.

Did Juan Soto swing first?

And the player whose name sounds the closest to "Boba Fett".

I’d take Bo Derek I bet prime for sure.

Another interesting fact about Bo Bichette: he is the son of Frank and Bo Derek

he is for trade and I am looking for MLB pitching now... young, cost-effective, high-k types.... for Bo (holla)
-
Bo Bichette, a shortstop whom Toronto drafted in the second round in 2016 out of high school, is hitting .282 with 10 homers and 64 RBIs out of the leadoff spot for the Fisher Cats. He leads the Double-A Eastern League in hits (124), doubles (35) and extra-base hits (51) and is tied for the lead in stolen bases (28). He’s considered one of the top 10 prospects in the minors.

tale of two seasons: Bats GREAT. Pitching. NOT SO GREAT. I feel I am deep w/ Bats from the minors up. Looking for Solid Starting Pitching for end of the year, next year (more importantly)... if you have ideas, send some offers.
-
Also I traded Kershaw for Pablo Sandoval once. It was during the offseason and salary was an issue, but still...
-
That trade was very generous on the part of the Sale seller...

It still kind of tickles me to go back and realize the first ever trade in this league was a $7 Chris Sale for $10 Pedro Alvarez.
-
The generous thing for you to do would be to immediately pick up Seager, insert him in your lineup and leave him there for the rest of the year.

Cutting Kyle Seager while he's out on paternity leave... savage.
