And indeed, the rises of Cutch (7th to 5th to 2nd) and Inkosi (12th to 4th to 3rd) are notable developments over the most recent seasons.
-
Horns, you had a respectable showing for a first-timer in a rebuilding year! Get on that 5-year plan.
-
I typically do not look forward to a silver medal but this is probably the best, hardest earned 2nd place or first loser ever 😂
-
Congratulations to the mighty Ducks! All skilled players in this league. I better stick to Yahoo.

Figured I was safe from catching bullets in this league, given my comfortable spot in the basement. I think Acuna for half a season would be my second best player.
-
Everyone please remember to be back between Oct 15 and Nov 15 for arbitration! I don't believe we have any reason to skip it this year.
-
But seriously, well done St. N -- I'm seeing your finishes since joining as 1st, 1st, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st again. In contention for greatest dynasty in the 11-year history of Imaginary Hammers!
-
See that, Keith? Losing Acuña is no excuse for not winning a title.
-
Thanks again, Cutch. I had serious doubts back in July that St. N would ever catch your squad (or keep up with Inkosi either), especially after Acuna went down and my pitching staff had a horrible two weeks in the immediate aftermath. While my overall hitting was mostly average from there on out, Soto, Votto (!) and Judge kept St. N. afloat on that side while the pitching came around with a sustained performance stretch I could only marvel at.

congrats again on the win ducks - last 6 weeks were amazing for ya!

I took over what came to be known originally as St. Neubauten (along with all of its latter variations) just after the arbitration period in late 2016 (same time as the owner of the team now known as Six Toe Luzardo), so my first season in the league was the 2017 campaign that culminated with St. N barely holding off your Rime, Commish.

It's kinda annoying that ottoneu retroactively changes your team name in all the past standings. Good for seeing franchise continuity, bad for knowing when ownership changed.
-
What year did you take over that team?
-
Snell, Acuna & E. Diaz joined St. N during my 1st season so it'll be 3 rings for them as well if the Red Ducks win out.

Aaron Nola is one of the three players who's been with St. N. for every game of my tenure; also Bregman & Judge.

Forgot you still has Aaron.

Yeah, but he's very much the junior partner in that namesake tandem. His purpose has been served.

Roar is right. The MLB disciplinary process is independent from the legal system. The outcome is up to MLB only.

mlb can suspend him no matter what happens with his trial, I believe. Same with Ozuna. Their discipline is separate from the courts.

What happens with Bauer if he’s found guilty? Will he pitch next year?
-
Typical Mariners fan Rime. Typical.
-
Yeah, seeing a little bit of separation there at the top. Meanwhile Rime fans are excited about the young core but questioning if management is willing to spend in support of it after running a $220 payroll by the end of this season.

...though I do believe I can indeed see one of the Red Ducks cracking its way out of its shell after Sunday's games.

Thanks, Cutch. After last year's final days debacle, however, St. N. won't be counting any Ducks until they hatch...

… I would like to thank Matt for the Salvy “throw-in” in our pre-season deal though.
-
umm, can’t CUTCH this was indeed caught.
-
…and, early congrats to Red Ducks! Amazing run last 6 weeks… a true racehorse type of a closer! well done!!!
-
thank goodness, I can’t accumulate anymore second base stats 😂
-
Good find, Cub! I also like how you can sort there by date acquired, which let me see that my longest-tenured big leaguer is... Dylan Carlson? Late 2019? Wow, so much turnover.
-
@cub rock on man!!! - that’s always interesting to see the ebbs & flows to the season, the hot streaks and where I got it wrong or right haha 😆
-
Cutch, I found what you’re looking for! In the top bar where it shows all the icons, click the “settings” icon (to the right or “trades” and to the left of your inbox). There is a subsection called “Team Production”. There I can see stats contribution from everyone this year, even from the players I traded away.
-
That was my plan though I don't have high hopes for him since Thoracic outlet surgery seems to be a very difficult rehab and comeback to form injury. But if anybody knows how to rehab and comeback it's Straus.
-
Six Toe that was kind of a good sneak through of Strasburg on Labor Day Weekend. I couldn't bid because I cut him recently, but surprised no one else got a bid to have him at $10-15 for next year.
-
Cutch - I know on your lineups page you can change the stats displayed to "In Lineup"... but that doesn't tell you anything about the players who aren't on your team anymore! Dunno if anyone else knows.
-
I was actually thinking "what's a number I'd feel good about having Yelich in 2022 at? $33?" Maybe I should've had the same thought process about someone will be smart and add $1.
-
league, does anyone know if there is a "player log" that shows which players have contributed to your overall stat-line... for example you have 100 total homers... and had player X on your team that hit 5 of them, while in your lineup, but you proceeded to cut player X, this log will show that data, and a running total for the entire team? just curious and is always interesting!
-
Yelich will rebound in my humble opinion, so nice pick-up!
-
True @Ducks… my bidding is so random!
-
Cub, I'd say that was more than 'no idea'. I mean, you had an idea. I sometimes can't think of any when bidding.

Mmm I just changed my bid from $30 to $32 yesterday. I thought $30 is a round number that people might use, and another person might be smart to add $1, so I added $2. But honestly, it was blind so I had no idea what I was doing.
-
I thought that would be a competitive auction for Yelich, and it didn't disappoint. Blind auction bidding is weird.

winning bid was $4 per every Yelich Homer in 2021, for $32!
-
Ahhhh Cub, $1! How did you know? And you've surged up the standings, so I would've won the tiebreaker. Ah well, if I wanted to pay more for Yeli, I would've paid more.
-
Maybe like Votto he just decided he was gonna hit dingers.
-
And Salvi is having a career year but is still running a.316 OBP.
-
I could have told you that without sluething. But I pay more attention to actual Beisbol.
-
Fine sleuthing, Commish!

Ok just checked and it’s Semien. 1-2-3-4!
-
And if they can finish that way with Vladito 3rd, is there a second baseman who can be number 4?
