Well played, St. N. (Points for picking up the reference.) I noticed a particularly remarkable and unusual roster decision that only a truly risk taker could contemplate.

you tweak his arm angle…? I need better pitching coaches over here!
-
Oh good, Cole is good again.
-
And gave up twice as many earned runs as the other Diego Castillo has this season.
-
and if it wasn’t confusing enough… Diego Castillo (the Pirate hitting version); *pitched* today!
-
And man... Jurickson Profar. He is a fantasy baseball epic article of wishful thinking that has been written many times but is yet not finished.

Fangraphs Article title prediction: Kyle Wright Gets Right.
-
I'm kinda shocked he wasn't drafted given last years stats.
-
That was a good, old-fashioned auction bidding war for Nasty Nestor. Congrats to Baddoo for acquiring the Yankees’ real ace
-
Well Ty France didn't get an HBP tonight but odds are he will tomorrow. Viva la OBP.

Batter's jimmy jack must've hit one of the pitcher's relatives in the Alps...

This is not Nam' man. There are rules.

Ke'Bryan is in the lineup today to get a sendoff from the fans. We thank him for his time with the franchise and hope he gets more consistent playing time with the Cutch.
-
Must have been challenging over time for Cole to be an ex-Pirate in the Cutch clubhouse...

cheers to Rime getting on his good starts the rest of the way.
-
He's not looking that great through 3 starts... we'll try to foster a more nurturing environment in Rimeville.
-
Apparently Cole was disconcerted by his early season trade...or perhaps it was just damn frigid in Detroit tonight.

As long as we're discussing 1.01 picks, Casey Mize is on my trade block! Looking for MI or RP upgrades.
-
Pleasure doing business as always; Mr. Cutch gives good consideration to counters.
-
our GM has a history of putting a player out there a sand working on the deal! put the $ where the mouth is! …anyway, how could a bucco fan pass up a bucco? #homer
-
well, that didn't take long. Cole must have really wanted out of the Cutch clubhouse.

Cole Train up for Trade Discussions.
-
Yes very fast. If he were healthy he was probably the Billy Hamilton of his decade. Maybe as good as Otis.
-
I'm still rostering Kyle Lewis because hope? Human knees are proof God is either an idiot or doesn't exist. If he he truly loves us why would he fail at knees.?
-
Fast.

Donnell Nixon. Anyone remember?

The ED Love Child strikes again, on cue:
Byron Buxton departed Friday's game versus the Red Sox with an apparent leg injury.
Buxton led off the game with a double on a ball which was lost in the sun but tweaked something while sliding into second base. He immediately slapped the ground in pain before walking off the field.

Saint, I’ll fondly look back to April 13th when the planets aligned for one, brief day. In the words of the esteemed Roberto “Kwan is fun.”

Eric Davis should be an honorary HOFer. An incomparable talent. If Jim Kaat gets in for longevity....
-
Eric Davis. *drools*
-
It a shame Byron Buxton is Eric Davis' Love Child. The homer hit today was insane. 101 up out of the Zone. 112 to the upper deck.
-
... is it too early to panic?! :)
-
@rime it’s very possibly I was watching that game in the HS locker room!!!
-
Nice start there Risk Takers... we're all coming for you!
-
Also always funny to me the first couple days that undefined pitching ratios count as first place -- even ahead of an actual 0.00 HR/9 or ERA.
-
McCutchen for MVP so far?
-
For me probably 5th grade, the Rockies expansion season as we finally had a major league team. Opening day was during school and they lost 4-0 or something to the Mets, but got to watch the home opener a few days later on TV. Eric Young hit a leadoff homer, Galarraga and Bichette made their presence felt, and the Rox rolled to their first win out of... hm, 67 that year.

cool @roar! … I was coming up on 5th birthday and my Dad who played ball as well ( had a couple try outs ) was an avid Pirate fan and wore the Stargell pillbox hats… but soon afterwards early 80s is when I truly became a fan. I recall tho, Mike Easler and Bill Madlock, Candy man… etc.
-
My dad would take me to Opening Day at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore every year in the 80s, my formative years. Cutch, are you old enough to have memories of the 1979 WS?
