May 13, 2025 9:55 AM : Siri is progressing more quickly than expected in his recovery from a fractured tibia and has already resumed baseball activities, Tim Britton of the Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Mets don't have a set date for Siri to begin a rehab assignment, but the 29-year-old outfielder was able to do some light jogging Monday and could beat the estimated 8-to-10-week timeline he was originally given for his return when he suffered the injury in mid-April. In his absence, Tyrone Taylor has received the bulk of the starts in center field, with Jeff McNeil also getting some occasional opportunities at the position.
