Agree, no problems as long as any action taken by the co-owner is final

All transactions are final regardless of which owner makes them. I play in a league with 5-6 co-owned teams, and it works great.
-
I am OK with co-owners, as long as it's clear one of you is the "boss." I.e., I want to very clearly avoid any disputes where one of you makes a trade, but the other objects, or "Oh, my caddy didn't understand weird wrinkle X and as a result made Y, can we roll that back?"

Hey guys, Ben asked that I clear my request for a co-owner with the league. Main need is for a 2 week period in June when I won't have access to internet (will be rafting in the Grand Canyon). I also anticipate an interstate move in July with related packing. Three out-of-state weddings too to add insult to injury. I also have way too many leagues as it is. The guy I'm bringing in will actually be caddying all but one of my teams.
-
Fielding offers for $22 Kimbrel. Looking for cheap surplus assets in return.
-
Looking to build a pitching staff. Have elite well-priced RP to give that should clear today-ish.
-
I probably should cut costs in my outfield. That means moving at least one of Polanco, Thames, or Puig - all quite reasonably priced.

Any interest in Schwarber, Buehler, Andujar, Betances? Looking to deal and possibly cut salary.

What if, for instance, people are busy or traveling next Monday or Tuesday?

Nonsense. I don't participate in twitter.com

Obviously I support early roster trimming! And I discourage subtweeting - so obnoxious (this is directed at Brad.)

I very very rarely veto a trade and only would if there is suspected collusion or if itโs so egregious that it grossly affects the balance of the league. The Kingmaker type trade.

Speaking of vetoes, I submitted a veto to that loan trade yesterday before we talked things out. So if that's accidentally shot down (I don't think that's a risk), just ask Ben to manually process it. Breaking rules is the exception to my rant about not using vetoes.
-
One of my teams is called The Ship of Theseus. That should give you an idea of my style. ๐
-
I think the only time I've voted on a trade in the last few years is when I've been directly asked to vote. My fantasy baseball voting abstention is the most laissez faire thing in my life.
-
I agree, everybody values players differently, and are trying to accomplish different things. I think trades should be immediate. Its tough trying to talk trade with some of these teams looking through who they have lost and figuring out who is coming over to them.

As far as I'm concerned, if two people agree to a trade, it's approved. My standing policy is that if somebody vetoes a trade in which I'm involved, I'm done with that league. I also consider leaving even if I'm not involved in a vetoed trade. It may be a bit arrogant, but I have too many leagues to waste time in one where the effort invested negotiating a trade may be nullified.
-
I would also be happy pushing through trades that are clearly approved

I think they updated the setting options to allow for faster processing. Nobody votes on those trades...
-
I agree. I saw a suggestion where once a majority of the league approves a trade it should go through. I like that idea.
-
I hate how long it takes for trades to update in this format.
-
I'm not sure I've ever seen so many pending trades happening at once. It's pretty amazing. It's like a Mensa puzzle trying to keep track of what's happening, roster wise.
-
Fielding offers on that $4 Travis Shaw and $6 Justin Smoak right now. Ping me if you want a cheap, surplus 3B or 1B. I will be honest and say I have a rather good offer already. Looking for OF, MI, and SP.
-
These past couple of days have been crazy, but to be honest all the trade offers have made it easy to learn my team! Keep those offers coming! Just wanted to post that i've got a few minor league guys available if anyone is in rebuild mode. Raimel Tapia $3, Nick Gordon $3, Cory Ray $2, and Keston Hiura $3. Not looking for a huge return on any, mainly thinking depth guys, or a nice middle reliever or set up guy. Hit me up if interested!

Officially, the trade will be stand but the IOU is disallowed. The trade is considered accepted by both parties, without any expectation of a loan at any time.
-
Works for me, as long as everyone sends me trade offers. Dismantling this roster will require a group effort.
-
Yup, I'm cool.
-
Thanks, Mos Eisley and SeaTac. This had not come up in any of my other leagues prior to now, either. Now that I read the rule, I agree it was not allowed. Also, Brad's comment on the practical implications makes a lot of sense to me. Since Dyersville is fine with it, it sounds like we can repudiate the IOU, let the trade stand without it and have no offseason loans going forward. Fair?

I agree, I am sure this was not malicious. That said, it is important to be clear that the rules don't allow these kinds of transactions, nor any sort of temporary player loans, etc.
-
I just want to say that I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was no intent to break any rules or be dishonest/malicious in any way. It was pretty clear that this was done on the up-and-up. My question was merely a matter of understanding convention, nothing else.
