Greedy little Puiggy.
-
A.J. Griffen!
-
What's the deal with Iglesias?
-
My team reached by BB or HBP in 16 of 52 PA today. That's got to be some kind of record.
-
Arise Chicken's trade block has been updated!
-
TBD's trade block has been updated!
-
Also, there is no such thing as selling low when all you are offering is $5 Jordan Lyles. Do you have some french fries to sell me for $20? :)
-
Why didn't you bid on K-Rod, GTD?
-
Desperately awaiting a reliever offer...one of you at the bottom of the standings???
-
Need a cheap but not worthless reliever ASAP. Jordan Lyles is the only player I can give up. Willing to sell as low as I can
-
Great Divide Titans's trade block has been updated!
-
Welcome to the league, Steve. Are you going to change the name?
-
Please welcome Steve, the new owner of Tuscaloosa Trolls.
-
Matt ****ing Cain.

The slow blade penetrates the shield.

And since we're getting records straight.... that was (still) not an infield fly

http://www.thebiglead.com/index.php/2012/12/02/david-freese-says-he-crashed-his-car-to-avoid-hitting-a-deer-some-people-dont-believe-him/
-
On the record, Freese was dead sober. For the record, based on reports from the neighbors and stuff, I have my doubts.
-
and it goes w/o saying Sam Holbrook would be somehow involved.
-
I do enjoy that it's necessary to clarify which instance we're referring to RE: Freese...
-
For the record, Freese was not drunk in the most recent occurrence. That said, I wouldn't be terribly upset if Kozma was a casualty.
-
I like the name change alert. And appreciate the relevance of your new name. I will likely never change mine, as I will be bitter until the day David Freese drunkenly runs over Pete Kozma with his SUV, while 'avoiding a deer'.
-
I moved recently from the Ocean Beach area of SF to North Beach/Telegraph Hill. The name change seemed appropriate. Like my team, a bunch of birds that squawk a lot and get nothing done.
-
OFR, I like your idea but it mucks with the presentation of my team name so what if we do a NAME CHANGE ALERT, like I just did? Get on that one TT.
-
NAME CHANGE ALERT: Inner Farallon Crabs are now the Telegraph Hill Parrots!
-
You should watch out for the Telegraph Hill Parrots. Seriously. The things are feral.
-
New Rule - if you change your name, you should put your initials of your old name in parenthesis, like Telegraph Hill Parrots (IFC). Yes, I know I changed names 15 times last year, so I am the last to complain. But it's hard to keep it straight.
-
Haha, name changes abound!
-
I'm on the lookout for starting pitching if anyone is trying to deal.
-
Does anyone know why I'm nor getting credit for RBI? Thought that was a thing.
-
It's too bad this always turns personal, and it's too bad it's alway the one troll who turns it in that direction.
-
I'm really feeling like you've got some Fun Dip on your swing set right now
-
Maybe a couple Monster energy drinks and some Sour Patch Kids while your Dad yells at you to get off of pornhub.com so he can check his eharmony account.
-
I feel like if I found HBAOTR Facebook page it would look like a fat teenager playing WOW and eating caramel popcorn.

#6th place, #troll

Fire away, though, on 7/$180 for Verlander starting at age 30.
-
If you think 7/$175 for Felix starting at age 27 is good it's illogical to think 10/$225 for Kershaw starting at age 26 is bad.
-
I think Felix will work out fine and the Mariners haven't wasted their resources elsewhere. I understand the Dodgers are rich but it isn't just an endless pool of money.
-
Paul Goldscmidt hit ball far
-
Felix just got $175MM starting in his age 27 year. Wanna bet a year's buy-in in this league that it's a good deal, on a $5MM/fWAR scale, when it's done?
-
it doesn't matter a bit for the Dodgers. Their TV money is ridiculous. They can afford it. Not that they should be goofy w/ their money, but the Kershaw deal locks up the future and helps reduce some mistakes that have been made the last 12 months.
-
But when you cover a player's peak ages of ~25-31 roughly for a pitcher, which would be most of a Kershaw deal, you get a bargain.
-
Also, pitchers age differently than hitters. And get far fewer nine-figure deals.
-
That is, if that deal was not opted out of. On the other hand, the deal that started in 2012, when he was 31, will likely end poorly. Because age. Because that's how it works, dude.
-
CC got $161MM starting at age 28 and he's put up 23.8 fWAR ($115MM in value) and has 2.5 years to complete the deal. 8 more WAR in 2.5 years for CC? Easy, probably.
-
Do you realize that not one person you named is a pitcher? And that my other main point is the Dodgers have already pissed away millions on too many unproductive players?
-
I know that breaks the rules of anonymous internet message board hyperbole and absolutes, but there ya go.
-
If it "pans out" that Kershaw gets hurt or isn't good, it won't be b/c your logic is solid GDT and mine is bad. Big deals to young guys work. Big deals to old guys fail. As a rule, with very limited outliers. You won't be "right" if Kershaw fails.
