2) I was paying attention to the # of people there and we said we were going to finish the draft. 3) Losing out on all the players in the auction because I didn't know
-
So if I was to drop my players now it would be like a triple whammy. 1) my strategy assumed there would be steals near the end of the draft
-
NO ONE said anything for a long time after the draft. We've already done a lot of auctions already
-
Having said that, this isn't worth my time. You can find someone else to take advantage of. Good luck this year!

Paper, you know it's taking advantage at best, cheating at worst. And in a dynasty league, it's a bummer you'd act this way.

PaperwinsChampionships's trading block has been updated!
-
That said, people like Masterson and Billingsley are up for trade if you really want them
-
I thought the people who left the draft, left the draft knowing that they would have to pick up whatever players were left
-
I know what you're talking about but NO ONE, said anything about the idea that I shouldn't draft them
-
I'm looking to trade some pitching to improve my offense. If you might match up, feel free to send me an offer!
-
I didn't want to put back the players either, but I think 1am is a good compromise. The $1 players really won't affect this year, but it does skew things for next year.
-
Paper, the majority of us decided to return the players drafted after 1 am. I do agree with u that the rules state that "the draft is over when the last team leaves the room"
-
The players between Billingsley & Masterson were ill-gotten.

The point re: the $4 is that the players drafted shouldn't count as penalties when cut.

Paper, you should cut the players you drafted late at night. Techincally what happened is within the rules, but you took advantage of the empty draft room. I think you know what we're talking about.

I'm not sure what you're wanting, as what has happened is exactly what is stated in the rules
-
Also, I'm confused why you want your $4 back, Dunn. You hired the players, and you cut them, just like in real life, there are cap penalties associated with that
-
Dunn, the software is buggy, took a full half an hour to realize that the system needed me to log out before I could cut someone
-
The Ottoneu Jays's trading block has been updated!

I volunteer to co-commish is rebuilding cycle is too busy. Gotta fix the issues before the season starts. It will be harder then.
-
I can ask Niv for help, but it's better if our commish does.

Paper gut your guys. The seasons gonna start. Did anyone email help@ottoneu.com
-
Where's the commish. I cut my guys, I want my $4 back so I can buy some PBR 's
-
I have his twitter- @stoltz_baseball

Does anyone know Rebuilding Cycle's email? I've sent him ~six messages and haven't heard back.

Right - this is why we need the commish to help (where has he been?) When players are cut, they can be claimed - as you guys note. When they are removed, it's like they were never picked (which is what we want).

But I am wondering why I can't actually put any of the players that I cut up for auction?

-
Haha and no worries you didn't sound douchey. Just cut him. To be honest I think I was clicking around on his page after you guys were talking. I probably did click the claim button but wouldn't that make him of up for auction like everybody else?
-
Woah. Didn't mean to claim him. In fact I got an email last night saying I picked him up and was a bit confused.
-
I realize that sounded douchey, didn't mean it like that haha.
-
Did Abstinence just claim Dom Brown? That hardly seems fair...
-
Yeah Paper the point is if we are forced to drop these guys we shouldn't have to incur a penalty. Right now my team is frozen because of my drops.
-
Paper, in general I agree, but in this case the players you drop (Masterson, etc) you shouldn't be penalized for.

It's a blind auction.

How does this auction process work? I've bid on a few players but how do I keep track of what the highest bid is?
-
Nah, it's just like in sports, you can't cut players and not have to pay cap penalties, I would just like to see it average out to 50% so if you cut 2 $1 guys you lose $1 not $2
-
I agree, these should be penalty free cuts.

Well I just did it myself since others mentioned they cut their own guys, but hopefully I can have my cap number corrected as I now don't have enough to add anybody.

I think commish should...

So we are cutting them ourselves? Sorry I thought the commish was handling it because of the cap hits.

Oops. Sorry about that. He has been freed.
