My 2 cents on Northwest's previous post. I think if owners are not going to play in next years season then we should try to find replacement owners before arbitration starts. If I was a new owner I would like to participate in arbitration.

For those of you who are leaving the league, I can mark your team as abandoned if you are ready for that, which will allow another owner to pick them up. Or you can hold on until after arbitration, which starts on 10/15. Let me know what you prefer, or if your team expires and I haven't heard from you, then I will abandon it.

Congrats to Upton for winning the league. Who are you all pulling for in the playoffs? We got our wish and the Cubs are done. I guess I'll be rooting for the Brewers...Dodgers...Cleveland...really, any team other than NYY/BOS/HOU would be great.

My thinking on the Correa trade is that I have 5 or 6 guys who will be worthy of playing every day next year at the middle infield spots. Someone has to go. Correa will be $40 next year so moving him really helps my financial picture, and reloads the farm system with 2 solid young players ranked somewhere in the middle of the top 100, and 1 guy ranked in the top 20. And I'll still have Cano, Rizzo, and Simmons/Urias/Adames.

In addition to Correa or Rizzo, I could also move one of Kris Bryant or Anthony Rendon. I'm not tearing the whole thing down, but I have some positional logjams and salary crunch so a couple of high-end pieces should probably go. I'm looking for prospects, mostly, or young cheap guys with high ceilings. Help you now, help me later.

If you feel a trade is unfair, and unjustifiable, you should protest it. League members can "approve" or "veto" each pending trade. It takes 7 "veto" votes to kill a trade.

I have to agree... Seconds apart questionable keeps if any. The first trade ok but that 2nd one no one on either side can sell me on where that trade makes sense....

Exactly. You have to hand it to him, that is a staggering number. There used to be a fantasy baseball game hosted by baseball prospectus called "hacking MASS" and I don't remember the specifics but the general idea was to pick the WORST possible team, and playing time was important, so you needed guys who were good enough to play every day but were still really bad. Like Mike Zunino or Ryan Healy, or the Reds fifth starter. The roster was frozen from game 1 on so there was no work

I'm looking to dump salary. I have a few guys I would consider trading for nothing. Such as $4 Hamels, $1 Pedroia, $4 Hanley, $4 Neil Walker, etc. Feel free to make an offer for 1 or more of them or someone else. I could maybe even package all 4 that I named with a more desirable player - you take all that salary, you get the interesting prospect or whatever. Go M's!
