Yes, post-arbitration, you have a chance to drop/trade/etc. If you drop a player between the end of arbitration and the keeper deadline, it is a penalty-free drop and you receive full credit back to your salary cap.
-
Question: after arbitration, can we drop players and receive their full value back?
-
The Bibee sweepstakes are over! Or are they?
-
I'm up for doing something crazy if anyone is down!

Happy Deadline Day, y'all...good luck to anyone working on deals
-
Open for business and looking to sell before the deadline, contenders, come find that piece you need for the last month of the season...
-
Who wants a bunch of prospects and salary taken off your cap? Hit me up 👍🏽
-
I also wanted to make sure everyone saw the link at the top of the page about Paydala being the new payment provider for the site.
-
Reminder: Trade Deadline is THIS WEEK.
-
It appears the emails are back on for now...Niv (site owner) has been working with Amazon and Google to get this back. You can follow the thread from the link about Gmail at the top of the page to get the details.
-
All Quiet on the Waiver Front. . .
-
What he said…reminder the trade deadline is the 31st…
-
Tick, tock…thextrade deadline is coming!
-
I've used GroupMe, WhatsApp, Discord et all...my other league here uses Slack. Seems to work well...
I also wanted to drop a note here to make sure everyone had seen the link up at the top of the page about not receiving league emails if you have Gmail right now. It's something between Google and Amazon...they're "working on it". So if you feel like you've missed something in the past day or three, that might be why.
-
I think it’s all about the same, just different platforms. I guess some would have upside if everyone in the group weren’t located in the states.

My Fantrax dynasty league we use GroupMe and for hockey WhatsApp. Never heard of Slack
-
a chatroom versus a forum
-
What does slack offer that this thread doesn't? Trying to figure out if I should make a profile just for this idk.

Just a reminder about the new Slack channel…

Wander on the trade block! 😱
-
I joined the slack. Anybody looking for another person for a fantasy football league? I need another league to join.
-
I created a Slack channel for anyone from the league that wants to join for just general convo instead of the message board.

10-4 on all that.
-
Ah Roger that thanks
-
So when arbitration is complete, you can see who applied what dollars to which players across the league. If I remember correctly…
-
You can see which players have had money assigned to them and how much but cannot see who until after it is complete. You can also change your mind up until when the arbitration period is over.
-
Also true. But for the automatic dollars applied it’s just $1
-
When we do the arb, can we see what other teams are putting money on or is it all blind
-
That is until someone in the group decides that minor leaguer need a bump and applies some of their arbitration money to said minor leaguer. Boom $3 bump!

As long as they haven’t played in an MLB game
-
Correct
-
So minor leaguers who have never played in MLB games will only increase $1?
-
You also have to plan for this:
Managers shall be permitted to retain any of their players at a salary which is increased based on their previous year salary. Rules for salary increases are as follows:
Players who have played in at least one MLB regular season game in the past 2 MLB seasons will have their salary increase by $2.
All other players will have their salary increase by $1.
-
Reference: https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/rules#offseason
-
Allocations take place after the initial offseason salary increase, so any allocations will be in addition to the $1 or $2 increase each player gets at the end of the season.
If a team does not allocate at least one dollar to every other team, none of their allocations will count and it will be as if they did not participate at all.
If a team does not allocate all $25, none of their allocations will count and it will be as if they did not participate at all.
-
Allocations
The allocation system gives a $25 budget to each team in the league.
The team must allocate this budget towards players on other teams.
Each team must allocate at least one dollar to every other team, and no team can allocate more than $3 to any other team.
At the end of the allocation period, all players have their salary increased by the amount allocated towards them.
-
BraveSox, how much is the pool of money that we get to add to other teams during arbitration?
-
Tinder I traded you Alexis Diaz for Edward Cabrera. Now he’s back in AAA.
-
Well I traded burger for an alcoholic.....so haha
I don't regret that many moves I made but more so the moves I didn't make like selling high on guys or signing the young stud arms early in the year
-
I like this lol
A few of mine stick out:
Dropping $2 Carlos estevez
Trade yelich for Peralta
Trade bellinger for Springs (RIP)
Dropping lindor to get jazz :(
-
Everyone post their worst transaction of the year. I’ll go first - I traded away Alexis Diaz for Carlos Rodon.

The Wiemer has finally risen in a big way! You’re welcome for Eflin. 😂😂

Thanks for the update. This helps.

After arbitration ends in mid November, you will have until January 31st to make penalty free cuts and/or trades.
After that, rosters are set until the draft.
Good luck in the homestretch everyone…!
-
Quick reminders:
Trade deadline is August 31st
After that no trades until after arbitration.
After the season ends, all players on your roster have their salaries go up by $2 automatically per site rules.
During arbitration from mid October through mid November, each team has a pool of money to add to the salaries of players on other teams.
There are different strategies to this put the overall strategy is to get other teams to drop pl
-
Friendly reminder there are cumulative IP limits...something I just realized...
