• The vote off option is where each team can vote on 1 player on each of the 11 teams to be reauctioned. The player from each team who receives the most votes, can be put up for auction agai during the draft next year. The current owner would get a $5 discount off the auction price, but would still have to stay under the cap. Last year, the bidding for Ohtani went above his available cap space of the previous owner and he lost him. He quit the same night.

• Hey guys, what's everyone's opinion of the vote off option at the end of the year. I hate it, and we've had 3 players bail once their player was auctioned. It's stupid to be penalized for drafting well. Book of Bichette is a perfect example. He drafted Julio Rodriguez for $7, but had to pay $35 to keep him. That isn't right in my opinion. What do you all think?

• nice to see new sheriff making some moves. worth mentioning that the beauty of a dynasty league like this one is that even if the season gets away from you for whatever reason (rash of injuries, underperforming players, unfortunate roster construction, etc.) there's always the ability to build for the future by making moves just like any pro team does. consider making some moves to trade older or outperforming guys for younger or currently injured players who may help in the future.

• Public service announcement - worth familiarizing yourselves with the games/innings limits. surprised me last year, and looks like it's going to surprise some folks soon (catcher specifically). slate wiped for playoffs, but no stats will count once limits hit during our regular season. tracking and limits can be found at the bottom of "Lineups" pages (the limits show there; pace can be found on standings page too; I'm on track to go well over pitching limits for example).

• Re: salary cap - this is from the rules page (link below): "At no time shall a team willingly go over roster and salary cap limits. If a team knowingly does this, they will face penalties at the discretion of their league's commissioner."

For example, I have $11 available to my cap can I loan out $20 and go over the cap and if so what kind of penalties do I receive. Again thanks for help with this. • Loan thing is just like trading cash. Credit to or against your salary cap as indicated. A way to even trades out a bit and/or navigate salary cap concerns. If I trade you an established but maybe underproducing player with a 40 salary for a hot younger player with 5 salary I might give you 30 loan to make the numbers more even, help you avoid going over the cap (or backing out of the deal for that reason), or entice you to take on the albatross contract. Another bargaining chip.

• Since we changed the scoring system, every one got a chance to make more cuts.
  As far as starting from scratch again and redrafting, I am against it. We may have people leave every year and we can't redraft every season. It defeat the purpose of having a dynasty league. Hopefully we build up a league where the same managers stay every year, but there is a good chance we will. So let's stick what we got, release who we don't want to keep and have fun this season.
