Analysis: After receiving a day off Sunday, McLain is all the way down in the No. 8 spot Monday, which is the first time since June 21 that he's batted anywhere other than first or second in a start. McLain has collected jus a .648 OPS since the beginning of July. Spencer Steer has been elevated to the two hole for the Reds.
