• I would encourage all who have inherited a PAID year to use that free one to figure our Otto Classic. If your team looks much worse than mine, set your goal for top half this year. If it is a lot worse, make some deals for your few good players and prospects. Work the FAA wire .... you probably have money and the better teams now and then dump good players who are having a bad month. Don't be afraid to trade. Hang in there.

• Welcome, Vince, to our challenging league. We have had some serious turnover, but everytime we add a serious player, we get better as a league. Your squad got shafted in the draft by Beta, but you have an ample FA budget and trades are possible, although much easier after the season's end and before draft day. Good luck, and try to be patient.

• I run a 30 year old H2H league that needs a few good men. Or women. We play in free Yahoo, 6X6 (OBP not BA, plus Holds and Assists). Trash talking happens ... which is where I got into the habit. We keep only three guys from a roster of 25, and the new teams get to harvest the players from those who resign. It's fun, free, and uncomplicated. Let me know, please, if you are interested in joining us.
