Not sure how my trade got pulled into this, but if you must know, I have been putting out offers all season for Donaldson all season. I will not be re-signing. My RP'ing is not all that good but now I have the closer for Arizona cheap next year. Win for me and win for Yu Darvish since he obviously is the only person willing to keep him for next season. How about that for an explanation!?!?!?

Jo Adell has hit 35 HR in his 3 years in the minors, over 1,000 AB. He is also a speedster, but we don't count SB in 4X4. Cole is one of next year's preseason top 5 SP. It may not be collusion but it's a terrible deal.

Those teams are closer to bottom of standings so they are not competing. Meanwhile your trade smells really bad
-
Does the Donaldson for Archie Bradley deal make any sense? Where are the whiners on that one?
-
While I wouldn't make the trade. I don't see it as collusion. I won't veto.

I’m done guys, can’t trust a few owners based on this trade.
-
There are maybe 5 or 6 weeks left this season. I thought trading a player regarded as the top prospect in the league - and who will debut next season - was a fair price for Cole. Adell is untouchable in most leagues that I have seen. Feel free to veto. This is a democracy
-
It is common from what I have seen in other leagues trading top tier prospects such as Adell for quality players such as Cole and then making the difference in a loan is normal at the deadline. The loan ends at the end of the season. It is usually used for rentals. If the person in 3rd feels he doesn't have a chance to win then he has the right to give up the season. But if people really do try like it then veto
-
Yes Cole is still a good value at $27, third place team trades with 1st? Plus the loan issue is a problem. This reeks of collusion. I am Leaving the league if south side wants to win this way
-
Can you explain why you think it is so bad Joshua
-
This is a problem, I won’t be coming back next year with this type of behavior.
-
This is a problem, I won’t be coming back next year with this type of behavior.
-
I don't see the problem with this, Adell is a freaking stud. If people really don't like it veto it, I will not be vetoing it though
-
I offered a couple trades this weekend to some teams. This one was accepted. Are loans not allowed here? They are pretty standard in other leagues I play in
-
Believe the two parties owe all of us an explanation. Seems dirty
-
Yeah I veto'd that shit.
-
Yeah that trade is not good. Why is a 3rd place team doing this? So a 3rd place team gives up now?
-
I have to wonder why the team giving up the best player, by far, also lends money to the guy getting Gerritt Cole. Does this make sense on any level?

Yep still looking for re-draft your players. Must be ayahoo league stats is refering
-
;-)
-
lol, ok buddy.
-
Yep just says to cut a player. I’m staying in this league but that other league has abused this loophole
-
Alt. Stats...you might want to double check your meds. You might have forgotten a pill or two.
-
As a reminder, Otto rules require each team to pitch 1250 or more innings for ANY of your pitching stats to count. So at the bottom of your team page, look to see if your guys are somewhere around 800 IP. Most of us are over that, but if you are way under ... you have a problem. A second rules note: Otto's trade deadline is August 31, but the trade window opens again over the off season with over two months do do deals. This has been a very active season for trading. 8/31 is it this seasn

Dude there is a freakin link at the top of the page telling you to re-auction and cut your players. Hardly an ethical loophole.
-
In that league I would see at least 5 players day nominated. Guess I didn’t realize what the owners were ok g
-
Yeah I m ianother league where teams have been doing that all year. It has gone beyond abusive. At least here people seem respectiveful
More the most oart
-
For example you currently have 5 guys you previously cut that can currently go to auction for you to resign. You also have $28 currently available to bid on players. The players you can resign all are available to go on the market for $2 or $3. If you were to resign each of those 5 guys and cut them immediately you would gain $5 more and have $33 available. If you had a guy available to resign at $4 you could cut him afterwards and gain 2 more $ to your budget. Strange but true.
-
It is players that were previously cut by their teams. They are being re-signed and cut to add more $ to that teams cap space. It is a silly loop hole or maybe even intentional but if you keep resigning your players and cutting them over and over again you keep regaining funds each time.
-
Seems lately a bunch of players are auctioned, then won, and then cut. Why?
-
I just wanted to apologize guys, work and school kicked my ass this last past week. I love the league, it just fell out of the priority list for a few days
-
I'm still looking fo trade away 1 or 2 of my SPs, I'm looking for relievers, outfielders, and middle infielders. I'm trying to make a deal pretty quickly so send all offers
-
I have no doubts about playing next year, not only will I play I'll compete for the championship
-
Looks like a pretty good trade especially for two guys with doubts about playing next year. I hope you both come on back: you bring good things to this league.

Yeah it's sad that it takes that long for some people, I try to get back quickly and nifty I'm thinking about it I'll send a message telling them I'm thinking still. It's all about communication
-
Waiting 2-plus days to respond to a trade offer seems the norm across ottoneu these days, unfortunately. If you have leagues where people respond the same day, that is just great. Sounds like a keeper of a league
-
All good stats. Hopefully you stay in 2020.
-
If you look at the trade history of this league you will see my name pop up quite a bit, so /shrug.
-
I accept the criticism. I got cold feet on that offer and honestly kind of forgot about it, I play in multiple leagues and this team is clearly not destined for greatness. I apologize, but I stand by my statement. You two are obviously not the owners I take issue with. Feel free to send more offers.
-
The issue is not people who do not come to the site everyday. The issue is when they do come to the site they totally ignore the offers. Either accept, decline or decline & counter. This is not difficult or unreasonable.
-
If you are not happy owners are not active and then you don’t respond to agreed trade offers then don’t criticize others.
-
Point is stats states there is no activity in this league and then never responds to a trade offer for three days that we agreed upon so that is wrong
-
Alt Stats is as diligent a player as there is. He will make deals with you. He will not insult you when you overvalue your guy while undervaluing his . Alt Stats may be the most reasonable guy in this league to do deals with. I hope Alt comes back next year: the dude is an asset to this league.

Don't judge others by yourself, people. Some, like me, view Ottoneu as religion. For others, they get here when they can. Peace out?

I had an offer up for days with another owner with no response as well. I may resubmit and see if they respond. I dont know.
-
Alternat Stats-I dont understand you TBH. I sent you an offer and you ignored it for days til I revoked it. So to say there is lack of activity when you ignore offers is hippocritical. You said you will make a deal with me then ignore.
-
Anyone interested in a guy with 22 homers, 370 OBP & 518 SLG? Josh Donaldson is available.
-
Okay everyone I'm looking to make a big trade or 2. I'm willing to move anyone on my roster and even looking to move Justin Verlander for the right price
