  • Yup - you can always leave a roster spot empty so that it won't be scored and won't take up a "game"

    This is most obvious with catchers because if you leave two active ones in there you'll cap your games played out by like August, but it can impact you with other slots too if you play it like a daily H2H where you're always filling spots. As mentioned, if you scroll down on lineup (or standings) you can find your games played pacing

  • Both are scored. You can use up to 162 total catcher starts over the course of the season, so you need more than one catcher if you want to max out your catcher playing time but it's up to you how you get to that total. If you scroll down below your lineup, you will see how many stars you have accrued from each position so far, as well as the limit for each position and your current pace

  • Question about catcher scoring? I understand that we have two catcher spots on the roster but that this is not a 2-catcher league, but I'm not clear on which of the two catchers (or both) is scored if I have two catchers on the roster filling both spots? Does scoring count only from the guy in the C1 spot? Is it kind of Best Ball-like where the better of the two catchers is scored for a day? I haven't been able to find an answer, so thought I'd seek the wisdom of league mates. thanks

  • Yes, the idea is that it mimics an MLB team - they have a 40 man roster to fill out an active roster every day. If a guy goes on the 10-/15-day IL, they replace them on the active roster with someone else already on the 40 man. If a guy goes on the 60-day, then they get an extra 40 man spot.

  • Hey guys, since I'm the newbie, I just wanted to make sure I'm understanding everything right. Do I understand the rules correctly that only players on the 60-day IL count toward our IL spots? So even if we have players on the 10- or 15-day IL, we would not get any roster flexibility so we wouldn't be allowed to replace those guys on the roster without cutting someone? Thanks for the clarification.

  • Posting this here in case anyone is interested or knows someone in search of a league.

    My other is still struggling to finds owners. We unlocked teams, so owners can just grab them. The regular season winning team is still available and several other good teams open. Just bad luck that a bunch of teams left. It is a great league. $75 buy-in, $75 side pot. Regular season, then a H2H playoffs. Regular season and playoffs payout.
