Analysis: VanWey will cede his spot on the 26-man roster to Lance McCullers (finger), who is coming off the injured list to start Friday's game. The 26-year-old logged a 5.59 ERA and 1.86 WHIP in 9.2 innings with the Astros. He has a 4.34 ERA in 18.2 innings with Sugar Land in 2025.
