We are at the all-star break, the traditional half-way point of the seaon. Technically, the season is 60% complete with 97g or 898i being on pace. Last week Maple Bats, Geezer, Portland and Hudson all were over 700. Geezer and Roca were over 3K for the past 30d. Geezer passed Roca again to take hitting lead, followed by JBO, Hudson, Freshmeat and GTown. Hudson passed Freshmeat in pitching which is now Roca, JBO, Portland, Hudson, Freshmeat and Geezer.

200 for JBO

200 for GTown!

I think our trade model is broken. We do few, and in part it looks like a Pharma model. Failed in Phase 2 so offer it up as it no longer has any value. I see trades offers that are heavy in players on 60IL, demoted to AAA, or giving 1 point a game for the best players that a team owner might have. Hardly a balanced trade. Bit like asking me for my aisle seat in exchange of a rear middle seat on a flight. Nothing in it for me. Rarely any genuine prospects offered as an exchange.
-
My team delivered 8 HR yesterday. If only there was some consistency. Pity I had no SP. Could have been an even better day!
-
OPL update: with one week left in this round, Geezer continues to lead the entire OPL! His lead over the cut line is 83/d so he is a lock to go through. At the other end of the standing Roca is 72nd and down 52/d, while JBO is 94th and down 85/d. Both are locks for the cut. Geezer will be busy making moves for the next roster lock, but he can rest his players in anticipation of the knock out phase that will begin after the all star break.
-
The top 6 teams are Roca, Geezer, JBO, Hudson, Freshmeat and KC, with JBO passing Hudson last week. The top projected teams are unchanged: Roca, Geezer, JBO, Hudson, Freshmeat and Portland.

Pitching was unchanged with Roca, JBO, Portland, Freshmeat, Hudson and Geezer.

OPL update: We have big news in the OPL update. Geezer has taken a substantial lead in OPL and is the #1 team in the league! With 14d left to play, he is +32 over the cut line. Our other 2 teams, Roca and JBO, are not doing so well. Roca is 71st (remember the cut line is 32nd) and behind by 27/d. JBO is 98th and behind by 46/d. 50/d is practically eliminated and 100/d is statistically eliminated. Geezer is moving toward a lock while Roca and JBO are moving toward a cut with 14d left in the round
-
The top teams are Roca, Geezer, Hudson, JBO, Freshmeat and KC. Hudson moved into 3rd over JBO. The top projected teams are Roca, Geezer, JBO, Hudson, Freshmeat and Portland, unchanged from last week. As we are now past the halfway point, I will start included a games behind feature in the weekly update. Since the leaders are scoring roughly 100/d, trailing by 100 would be 1g behind. Trailing by 1000 would be 10g behind.

The top 6 teams are Roca, Geezer, JBO, Hudson, Freshmeat and KC (unchanged from last week) and the top 6 projected teams are Roca, Geezer, JBO, Hudson, Portland and Freshmeat, with Hudson moving ahead of Portland.

Good Monday! The season is now 40% over and 65g is on pace for 162. 55g is the minimum played to get to 162. For pitchers, 600 is on pace, 509 is the minimum. Geezer was the big leader last week with 900+ and JBO was also north of 700. Geezer, Roca and JBO were all north of 3K for the past 30d. The top H are Roca, Geezer, JBO, GTown, Hudson and Portland, with Portland replacing Beef in the 6th spot.
-
OPL Update: all three of our teams appear to be locks to make the cut. JBO (71st) and Roca (80th) will need to dramatically improved to make the next cut at 32. Geezer at 24th looks good for the next round.
-
OPL update with 5d left: Geezer remains a lock moving up to 27th with a 101/d margin. Roca had a good 202 pt day, moving up to 66th and close to locking at 41/d. JBO had a 146 pt day dropped to 85th, but with a steady margin at 22/d.
-
OPL update: Geezer is a lock at 28th and 80/d margin. Roca moved up 1 to 71st and extended his margin to 27/d. JBO dropped 2 to 81st but extended his margin to 20/d. With 6d to go, they are in good shape.
-
Looking to move a nicely priced Kerry Carpenter for OPL reasons (currently on the IL). If anyone is looking to build for next season he would be a nice player to have. Please send offers. I am looking for a bat that plays everyday or a solid SP.
-
OPL was steady yesterday. Geezer is a lock and moved up to 28th. Roca stayed at 72nd with 21/d margin. JBO is 79th with 14/d margin. 7 days left.
-
OPL update: All 3 players had a good day yesterday with scores ranging from 171 to 186. Geezer moved up to 33 and with a 49/d margin he is now a lock (since 42/d is the daily difference between the cut line and the last place team, I figure it will be difficult for someone to make up 42/d on a good team). Roca moved up to 72nd with a 21/d margin and JBO moved up to 77th with an 18/d margin.
-
200 for JBO!
-
OPL teams continue to be steady. Geezer's margin is up to 41/d. Roca is 73rd and his margin dropped to 15/d. JBO is 83rd and he increased his margin to 12/d. 9d left until the cut.
-
Our OPL teams are all steady. Larry scored 183 yesterday which dropped him to 38th, but increased his margin to 35/d. He is essentially a lock. Roca had a 200pt day, which moved him up to 72nd and increased his margin to 16/d. JBO had a reasonable day with 126 which dropped him down to 79th but kept his margin at 10/d. Roca and JBO need to keep going strong to make the cut.
-
The top hitters are unchanged (Roca, Geezer, JBO, GTown, Hudson, Beef). JBO moved up to 5th, with Vancouver dropping to 6th in pitching (Roca, Freshmeat, Portland, Hudson, JBO, Vancouver). With 114d left in the season, you should be at 48g or 444ip to have a shot at getting to 162/1500.
-
Good morning! The season is now 36% complete with 59g on pace for 162, and 546ip on pace for 1500. Two teams are over 3K for the past 30d (Roca and Geezer). Two teams were over 700 for the past week (GTown and Roca). The only change in the top 6 this week is that JBO moved into 3rd and Hudson dropped to 4th (Roca, Geezer, JBO, Hudson, Freshmeat, KC). In the projections, Portland jumped from 6th to 4th, dropping Hudson and Freshmeat down a notch (Roca, Geezer, JBO, Portland, Hudson, Freshmeat).
-
OPL update: Geezer scored 100 yesterday which moved him up to 35th and 31/d over the cut line. JBO had 55 which dropped him to 78th and he remains 10/d above the cut line. Roca 31 which put him at 82nd and 6/d above the cut line. There are 11d left.
-
SAT OPL Update: Geezer had a good day yesterday scoring 158 which moved him up to 36th and increased his daily margin over the cut line to 26/d. JBO lost a little ground with 115 which dropped him to 74th but he increased his margin to 10/d (as time is running out for those chasing him). Roca also lost ground with 166, which dropped him to 87th and his margin decreased to 4/d as those chasing him are not as close to running out of time. 12d to go before the cut.
-
Sorry for late OPL update. Geezer moved up a notch to 41st and is now 22/d over the cut line. JBO dropped to 70th but remains 9/d over the cut line. Roca dropped to 82nd and remains only 5/d above the cut line with 13d to go.
-
Kerry Carpenter is going to be out for a while so am open to trading to optimize my OPL roster. If anyone has room to hold Carpenter send me an offer.
-
In OPL, Geezer held steady at 42nd and extended to 18/d above the cut line. JBO moved up to 59th and 13/d. Roca dropped to 79th and 5/d. There are 14d to go until the cut.
-
I’m good. Portland had the issue.
-
OPL update: Geezer had a hard OPL day and dropped to 42nd and 16/d above the cut line. JBO had a great day moving up to 60th and 10/d above the cut line. Roca had an average to poor day dropping to 67th and 10/d above the cut line with 15d to go until the cut.
-
Sorry Geezer! You are usually the expert, so I can imagine that was frustrating.
