  • prior to the 2023 season, prevailing wisdom was that carrying only SP’s on the staff was the best way to maximize rosters for the Best Ball format (a blast in any fantasy sport, i think). the 2023 tournament showed there is absolutely a way to win with relievers. that year was somewhat of an inflection point and the shape of many rosters changed accordingly. some people punt their home leagues at the service of OPL success. in my view, the goals for both OPL and winning home leagues are aligned.

  • I’ve done the OPL one year, it was Ok, one thing that did impact the league was there doesn’t seem to be a requirement for 5 RPs, most teams were stacked with SP and the league was out of balance. Have you noticed this?

  • still a lot of spots open in the Ottoneu Prestige League. top six in last year’s standings are eligible. it doesn’t require nearly as much additional effort as many anticipate, but it does force one to think about management in a different light. can’t recommend it enough. lot of fun. if you have any questions, feel free to ask

  • To me, since Ottoneu is year-round, I think we should draft as close to the cut deadline as reasonably possible. Love the early drafts. Thanks for coordinating!
