Analysis: Adams heads to the bench for just the second time this year as he had started in 124 of the Giants' 125 games played prior to Tuesday night's matchup. The shortstop has struggled since the start of August with a .123/.197/.262 slash line across 71 plate appearances in 16 games. Casey Schmitt is set to start at shortstop Tuesday in place of Adames.
