  • TBH it seems like sour grapes. It was one thing to say please vote on a trade but there was more done than that.

  • Well I guess the point about voting on a trade is that people either approve or disapprove and however it lands then that's the will of the league.

  • I get your points and I dont disagree. But there are bad trades beyond collusion. I'm not going to go into the details on why I think it is a bad trade because it doesn't matter what I think. But that is the point of the vote, if more than half the league thinks its a bad trade, then maybe it is.

  • Just because Semien and Belly are off to slow starts does not mean it’s a bad trade. Acuna is far from a sure thing at this stage. There have been far worse trades made in this league over the years…but I’d reference what Diesel said…different owners value different things.

  • I agree with Diesel. Fantasy in general unless it’s collusion, you never have a fair look into where another team is coming from. It’s also part of the gamble to take a chance that a player exceeds expectations while another might fall short. I’ve been part of plenty of trades that people complained about but in hindsight worked out. Unless it’s collusion, it’s an owner’s decision in my opinion.

  • Agreed. I almost always vote on trades. I am fairly new to this league but have been playing several years in two other leagues. I think this is only my second or maybe third veto.

  • While I get your point and have used the veto button maybe 3 times in my 6ish years of playing Ottoneu. 2 of them have come in the last 2 weeks here. Both of these 2 trades, in my opinion, have made 2 of the strongest teams stronger. which hurts the entire league , again in my opinion. Its not just about the individual trade but how it also affects the league as a whole.

  • Unless there is a case of potential collusion I never use the veto button on trades. Otto owners tend to have different ways of valuing players and varying ways for roster construction. There are always going to be deals every season that raise an eyebrow

  • I agree, I'm glad you said something. As one of the commissioners I didn't want to overstep. But this is the 2nd questionable trade in the last couple weeks. Me and the other commish were talking about ways to get owners more involved in voting on trades. We generally only get 2 or 3 votes at most on a trade.

    Out of curiosity, let's see if we can get more vote participation on the current trades.
