• Go into Commissioner tools, Manager Information and check the P-F cuts box. That opens up free cuts. Give him 24-48 hours to make the cuts, then go back in and shut it off.

• It’s the same owner who has been in this league since the beginning. I have been in communication with him and he has been a little bogged down and apologetic for missing the deadlines, which he has never previously missed. If the system allows him, I am inclined to allow him to make the one round of penalty-free cuts. I don’t think it would cause harm or provide an advantage in this instance. But I wonder what the league thinks on this. Please let me know publicly or privately.

• I was just trying to space things out a bit for those of us in the other league. Plus I saw the Sunday option, which might generally work better than a weeknight. Plus, it sounded like March 11 might not be a good date and I was attempting to be proactive on a change. I will note on the timing that lots of NFBC leagues are drafting right now with big money at play. So I think it all comes down to preference. If the league wants a later date, I'm happy to set it.

• I can go either way on it. Sometimes guys get hurt in spring, other times they get hurt in April. Given the nature of Ottoneu, I've been more open to earlier drafts than I am in a one season league. Foregoing the games in Japan is an option we can consider. It does stink a little bit because one of the teams playing in those games has some of the biggest fantasy stars, and this is a season-long format rather than week-to-week. I can bump it back to where we had it on March 11 (cont.)

• Obviously majority rules but not a fan of drafting more than 30 days prior to the season starting for all but 2 teams. Injuries are apart of the game but would suck to win a player that gets hurt in spring training. I personally would prefer to draft closer to opening day and forgo the Japan series stats all together if that’s even an option. It is in Fantrax 🤷‍♂️.

• Looking at the responses, I'm bumping the draft up to Sunday, February 23 at 7:30 pm (Central). This is the one good weekend day. Some of us also play in a second Ottoneu league, and I am trying to space those two drafts out a bit because they are a bit more involved a commitment than a typical one season fantasy league. If anyone has an issue with the 23rd, please let me know asap.

• Update: Ottoneu is apparently missing data as far back as mid-July. Niv (Ottoneu founder) continues to investigate. When all is settled, I'm expecting some changes to the standings points. I'm figuring this won't be massive, since it is impacting everyone.
