I love arbitration. Already finished!
-
Arbitration starts tomorrow!
-
Tigers were under construction a good part of this year so we are staying on
-
I'll be back next year.
-
Tebow's current average salary is $141

Not sure if any of y'all are in the Effectively Wild FB group, but someone somehow got Tim Tebow for $700 in an auction. Go to Tebow's player page, lmao
-
I finally got to see the dingers and I can't believe Manaea would get hammered like in the first at bat of the game and then go and throw him the exact same pitch in his second AB.
-
Watching Yandy blast two dingers tonight is a postseason game gave me some feelings. I'm gonna throw my Jesus Aguilar game-worn cap on tomorrow and I'm all Rays from here on out.
-
Somehow I missed that. I noticed like it two weeks ago that I was gonna fall like 2 or 3 starts short and it was a bummer. Lol I think I ended up with 1243 or something. Oh well guess I know for next year. Not like a 5th place finish would’ve been any better than 11th
-
There's a IP minimum of 1250 to prevent teams from punting pitching. Teams that do not reach that minimum are assigned 0 points for each pitching category.
-
Anyone know why the pitching categories read all zeroes for Hot Mess, Sodo, and AHWT in the final standings?
-
I'm in for next year as well -- looking forward to holding DJIB to a measly 94 points next time
-
I'm in for 2020. This is a lot of fun and a well run league. Congrats again to DJIB and LET'S GO BREWERS!

The prospects I've gambled on and SEAN MANAEA REBORN? I'm definitely in. Hope Whitley works out.
-
I love my team lol
-
I’m down for sure.
-
I am in for 2020 and looking forward to Hot Stove League. Congratulations to DJIB.
-
So with the arbitration process starting in just 2 weeks, I'd like to get commitments for 2020 so that if any owners need to be replaced, we can have as much time as possible. Please let us know your level of interest for next season, either my direct message or by posting here!
-
That's right! We have inflation and arbitration looming, so DJIB and I will have a lot of work to do in the off-season to restructure and get our budget in order. So there will be a lot of good players available by trade soon!
-
Thanks all. Urbina had a great stretch at the end to keep me from the clean sweep. I was just lucky to have the Bellinger and Bell breakouts line up with good health and a couple of good pitcher trades. While it's a solid team, I still think next year is anyone's race and i look forward to the off season!
-
Congrats DJIB...I expect that Fangraphs will do a story on you and any other royal flush league winners. The rest of us might be able to sell off our franchises to uber competitive types who want the chance to battle with DJIB next year :)

never seen a 96 in an Ottoneu League...wow DJiB...congratulations...best season I've ever seen...well done
-
Late to the party but congratulations to AHWT and SGRE on recent and upcoming marriages.
-
Congrats guys!
-
Torch Lake and Traverse City up in northwest Michigan. Beautiful county. Hiked for three hours one day and got a killer bahn mi the next. Tigers Country tho, and the mood is DOUR.
-
Where was the honeymoon, SGRE?
-
Stefan (AHWT) was in my wedding, lol
-
Congratulations to both of you!
-
My wedding is actually in two weeks! Strange coincidence. Lol
-
Congratulations SGR. I didn’t realize you had just gotten married!
-
Yike. Picked a bad week to go on my honeymoon. Lotta developments going on.
-
Same goes for Hicks. Because he is on the 60 day, he was basically free to carry into the off-season. Not at all a good keeper but at least now I get to determine whether he goes to auction instead of someone else.
-
Stahm was the least terrible of the group. I only kept him because I got an extra roster spot when Betances tore his achilles and went back to the 60 day. Would be happy to have you all think of me as a master strategist but the truth is a lot dumber.
-
Urbina, that somehow never occurred to me. That’s pretty smart lol. This has been a fun year. Grateful @SonnyGrayRealEstate asked me got join. Good luck on that 96 DJIB.
-
Thanks guys, I'm trying my damnedest to finish with 96 but I think I'm going to fall short. Too much potential for LC to hold me off in WHIP or Urbina to pass in Runs.
-
Urbina also held onto Matt Strahm in his large scale auctioning and cutting, so there could have been some logic to trying to obscure the one guy he actually wanted by a bunch of junk.
-
And i would like everyone to remember that I passed DJIB and was in first place for two days at one point haha. Fast forward to today and my primary goal is preventing him from scoring a perfect 96. I have to say, it's probably the most dominant team I've ever seen. Thank god for arbitration and the salary cap.
-
@AHWT, those guys I auctioned and cut are players I had previously owned. They still carried a cap penalty, so after a month when they were eligible for me to auction them again, you can buy them back and cut them to reduce their cap penalty, giving yourself more cap room.
-
I just had $24 of cap room and nothing to spend it on. I'm not really interested in keeping him at that price. More so I just want to make sure no one else gets him at a good deal. He'll probably end up getting cut and going back to auction.
-
Also, congratulations to DJIB on a truly dominate year. You have been in the only person in first place since April 6th. Hopefully, next year is more competitive lol.
-
Is it trying to get other people to bid to increase the chances of getting the guy you want?
-
What's the strategy behind nominating 5 or 6 guys at once and then cutting all of them? lol. Several guys have done that all year and I don't get it. I guess it's nice to have cap space so you can do that. I didn't have any clue how important that was until like a week into the season when I had 0 dollars available. lol
-
Thanks, I get it from your side DJIB. I would have done the same. 18 bucks just seems high for a guy that likely won't help until 2021.

I knew I was getting money back from the Carpenter auction and had a feeling urbina would be bidding. Simple as that
-
Wow! The Taillon auction went a bit different than I expected. Do you guys have inside info on his medicals?

I told my son the same thing. I thought Crick was being a jerk. He might actually be a good guy.
