Hi I am going to PAUSE our draft if possible due to the server/connectivity issues at CM. I have never had this problem before. I have participated in drafts there for 4 or 5 years.

ALSO there is an ottoneu auction that got started accidentally for christian moore of LAA. I will put him back in FA once the auction is completed and it will not affect our operation on couch managers or the roster import when that is done

couch managers is just very busy guys sorry-servers are inundated with drafts. That is another reason to draft early as possible and/or do live auction on here. We will get through it, though!

Looks like the extension is set to 4 hours. So if you outbid with the clock at <4hrs, my guess is it will reset to 4 hours. Commish can confirm?

right, I noticed the same thing..has to go back to 8hrs on a higher bid

Last time, we had the time expiration of the auction reset if there was a higher bid by a new owner. Are we not doing that this time? Otherwise, all of the bids will expire at 8 hours from nomination and we will have the eBay issue of people sliding in last second bids with no way for somehow to top it. For Yamamoto for example, I bid higher but the time expiration did not reset.

you are correct the rules define it as 1 catcher, not 2. I was really making a generalization and used that position- and I was using myself as an example. I was rebuilding in another league two years ago and had ZERO MLB catchers; I did think a C on my roster was going to be called up, but after a couple of weeks he hadn't been, so that commissioner prompted me to start an auction for MLB catchers until I got 1. Problem solved, and I learned about rule 1-A!

Can you clarify your comment around catchers? I interpret the rules as only needing to roster 1 MLB catcher. Otherwise the MLB roster count would be 23, not 22. Right?

it does not say anything about filling the lineup everyday, just that you have to have players capable of doing so. if you want to go full rebuild, you can have 22 $1 MLB players and roster 18 prospects or whatever

In other leagues I play in, commissioner enforces it without micromanaging. Just a matter of everyone agreeing to play by the rules and fixing the issue in a timely manner when the commissioner says "hey you need to roster another MLB catcher" or whatever

Not for roster enforcement. Mainly, everyone has their own ideas on building their team. Does it have to be mlb active players placed in the spot? What about owners who are placing more emphasis on the future- minor league players? I don't want to roster M Rojas because I need a player to fill a spot.

Are you saying that every day of the season my whole lineup has to be filled, nowhere in the rules does it say that..if you were to do that you would not have enough games per position to finish the season.

Still open to suggestions on legal roster enforcement from you guys. Was thinking I would set a schedule to check 3 teams every week for compliance. If you are out of compliance I will notify you in league mssages and through email. You will have one week to get roster in compliance, meaning an active mlb player per lineup spot. They can all be dogs, but they have to go in there.

Been thinking that this year I want to try to monitor legal lineups more- Otto rules state that every team has to have an MLB player for each roster spot. Got out of whack a little last year for a couple teams at times, but there was no enorcement agreement. Open to suggestions from the
