• I put out a 'team wanted' ad in the Ottoneu Community message board to grow awareness of our one open spot. Changing the draft day/time would be difficult because there was literally only one day/time that worked for everyone. • I agree that it's not that big a deal to only have 11 owners as it's rare that 12 are consistently engaged anyway. That being said, I would be in favor of waiting a bit later just to see if we could get a 12th before the auction, but scheduling that is always a pain so it might not be worth it if we already have a time that works.

• FWIW I've been doing Ottoneu $20 leagues for 6 or 7 years now, and every season there's always at least a couple owners that ghost early in the season, or miss the draft entirely. I think it just comes with the territory of doing a low $ buy-in league with strangers. Especially with this level of depth, I think some people just try it out and realize it's not for them. It's still plenty of fun and competitive though as long as there's a critical mass of active owners and decent balance.

• Yes, it will be fine if we only have 11 owners. I agree it's ideal to just keep the 12th team open, as it's better late than never for someone to claim the team, even if it's after the draft. If the team never gets claimed the only downside is that the vacant teamwill appear as if they're leading all of the pitching rate states (e.g., 0.00 ERA) until the last day of the season, when the system will move them down to last place in all the rate cats because they won't meet the minimum innings.

• I get it if the majority of us don't want to reschedule the auction, but we're probably more likely to get a new owner before the draft than afterward. It's not a terrible team, though. Someone could still pick it up even if they didn't have the chance to do the auction. Can we even do a season with only 11 owners?

Got way too many leagues and cannot maintain the rythm (time consuming and $$$). • Please ask your friends or coworkers if they’re interested in taking over the abandoned team. Just have them go to the Ottoneu dashboard and ‘claim a team’. If we don’t have a new owner before arbitration, in past years we would just have that team not allocate arbitration dollars to anyone, which is the fairest thing to do given the situation.

• If we're unable to find a new manager for recently vacated Probably Not, would/could we consider getting a proxy manager to dole out the arbitration money? More participation in arbitration seems super important. (this will be my first offseason in Ottoneu, so I've never been through the arbitration process before)
