I only have ESPN Insider at the moment, just figured I would check out the trial offer of BA since it's such a good deal.

I also use BP and ESPN insider (once a year they run a promo where you can subscribe to ESPN the mag for $1; this comes with an ESPN insider sub). Mike, you prefer BA over others?

I have a 1-year sub to BP, but not BA. Don't think I can afford to pick up anything right now though. 8.67 an hour is not a fun pay rate.

If you don't already subscribe to Baseball America, you can get a 4-issue trial for just $4.
-
I might have made a speculative pickup on him at $4-8, not for $17

Certainly have no interest in Dunn for this year. That'll be an interesting auction next year though especially if he looks halfway decent in spring training.
-
Tough to bench Reynolds as hot as he's been but what to do with no CI spot. And on Friday Youk comes back, talk about a logjam!
-
not to mention Stauffer's 大輔っぽい night
-
forgettable night for the Ligers... Lowrie, Reynolds, Kubel, Santana combined to go .375/.444/.813, benched them all
-
Also, is anybody going to bid anything on Dunn, or is he going to sit in free agency at $17? I for one am not touching him until the auction next spring.

$8 for Danks? He's a career 3.96 points per IP guy, or just over 4 points/IP for the last 3 years.

Note to everyone: the trade deadline is September 1st, after that waivers/auctions is the only way to get a transaction done. After the season it goes immediately into arbitration.

Downside to wanting Bautista back Mike: I'm heading into the offseason with 120$+ dollars to spend and 2 roster spots to spend it on. OF/3B and SS are my needs.

Yeah, that's been the rule on the arbitration policy. That was part of why I wanted so much for Kemp, because I could easily have afforded to get him back.

Ha, this is getting comical. Random auctions FTW! I actually did want Veras, so that one worked to my benefit.

Awesome, can't change my bids either. Do I just win every auction now?
-
...will be assessed a salary of their winning bid less $5." So maybe I'll be able to get JoeyBats back after all!
-
"iii. During the auction, the team which previously held the player can get a 'home town discount' of $5 toward the player. During bidding, this team will bid against other teams as if there were no discount, but should they win... cont.
-
Just noticed this about the arbitration policy:
-
wow, that is a big glitch
-
Looks like Grudge and I are trying to explain it at the same time. He's right. In my case, it got me Veras when he should have gone to LBD.

The problem is that auction ties are supposed to be broken in favor of the team lower in the standings, and then only go to a coin flip if two teams are tied in the standings.

I just picked up on this as well. The glitch is that the standings reset every morning and show everyone tied for 1st place.
