I have to say this is all getting very confusing, what with auctions and a minor league draft going on simultaneously. Also, I think I registered for Slack, but I can't see how to read these picks on my phone. I will be out of pocket much of the day today and would appreciate a heads up and some
assistance should it be my turn to make a selection. Thank you in advance.

No, for the sake of simplicity/sanity, let's not trade MiLB picks. There are too many moving parts as it is. MiLB players can be traded after the draft, so if you want to work out something where Team A takes Team B's choice and then you make a trade involving other players or whatever, then that's a possible workaround. But it's going to get too crazy if MiLB picks are being traded. At least for this first draft.

Commish are we able to trade milb draft picks? I don’t see anything in the rules about it other than the fact that each team will be limited to 10 milb players.

Per the rules, people can pick anyone who isn't on a 40 man roster. If a player is being auctioned, then he is not on a 40 man roster. Once he is selected, then he's placed on the restricted list and therefore ineligible for the auction. That's my interpretation, at least. But willing to hear objections.

Is there gonna be some sort of freeze on adding players until after the MiLB draft? Like can people run out now an add minor leaguers right up until they are selected in the draft?

Fellas, sorry I couldn't be that active this afternoon in the final part of our draft. I had something come up last minute with school that I couldn't get away from. Tried to be as active as I could. Hope it didn't slow the draft down too much.

I added a random number generator app to Slack and will use that to determine the order (it's called Dicebot). If people are interested, we can do a random number generating event on Slack tomorrow at 10am EST for those who want to observe it (and then start with the draft at 12pm EST). To use the app, just type "/roll [XdY]" Where X is the number of dice and Y is the number of sides. I was thinking of doing (1) 512-side die to minimize the number of repeat numbers.

There actually doesn't appear to be an option to move it to 8:15pm (it's got to be either 8pm or 8:30pm), so I'll just leave it at 8pm. But we won't get started until 8:15pm EST.

Hey Walt, thanks for organizing of all this, looking forward to it. I'm on the West Coast, and start a new job on 3/4, so I'm a little worried about my ability to leave before 5 (8 EST) on Friday. It may turn out to be a non-issue, but I was wondering if there was any flexibility to move the draft date back by 10-15 minutes. If that time is better for everyone else, no worries, I catch up when I get there.

Just wanted to give you a quick update that someone in our league has to drop out, so we're actively looking for a replacement. If you know of anyone, please let me know! Also, just a reminder that we're doing the 40 man auction from 8pm to 1am EST on 03/08 and then continuing the draft at 1pm EST on 03/09 and going until we're done. I'll have the Slack channel setup soon, which is where we'll draft the 10 MiLB roster asynchronously following the auction.
