I don't think players cut from the main 40 man should be milb eligible whether they clear waivers or not There would be no mechanism for their cap hit to be cleared organically, and teams shouldn't get a cap hit cleared by the commissioner after auction just because they cut a minor leaguer.

i am good to start on Thursday, I suggest confirming cuts with everyone this is a short turnaround I am for one am traveling until friday maybe a few others are just busy today and the short turnaround dost not work for them to cut. Regarding waivers for Alzolay(and now Lacy/Gonzales), I think it may be most fair to push the start of the draft to Thursday morning to allow those players to be claimed. That being said, we will still have a deadline of Midnight tonight to finalize your MiLB roster. Anyone cut from 40 man roster after Midnight tonight through the end of the draft will be ineligible for the MiLB draft. essentially we are locking MiLB rosters as well as the MiLB eligible player pool from midnight tonight

Also remember no Auctions for MiLB eligible players will be allowed during the MiLB draft, so if you want to start any I would today. Additionally, no waiver claims for MiLB eligible players will be processed(or they will be cut by commish)

I would like to start the MiLB draft Tomorrow AM, so please have all cuts either posted or IMed to me by midnight tonight. I'm flexible with the timing if anyone thinks that is too soon let me know. I have already received some cuts and will execute today. Reminder the snake draft order is reverse standings from last year, and you need open spots to pick. We do have a 12 hour limit on picks, missed picks can be made up on the teams next pick.

one more reminder, if you would like to call up players from your MiLB you need room for them and $1 per player in cap. any call ups need to be submitted before the draft commences or you will not be able to use the newly opened roster spot to pick another player

Just a head's up. I might miss part/all of the auction Sunday. It I do, I would prefer to fill up my roster through the 48 hr auctions as opposed to a proxy.

There's a commish option to turn the lockout for missed nominations off. It saves a lot of hassle in the early going. You could always pause and turn it back on if people start gaming the system.

We have quite a few open spots so it's going to be a long one, let's try to make it as smooth as possible. That being said it's one of if not the funniest nights of the Ottoneu year so I'm looking forward to a good time!

Also a quick note about next weekends auction, please remember that if you miss your nomination you will be locked out of the auction and I will have to pause and unlock. I've never done a auction as a commish but I have participated in quite a few and "intentionally" skipping noms near the end to try to wait until other teams run out of spots/$$$ is very annoying. I will unlock teams a couple times(everyone makes mistakes) but if it seems to be intentional we may have to discuss

Proposing the below addition to the league charter, if 3 or more teams object to this amendment prior to the end of the week we will revisit, otherwise I will update
VIII. Expired teams - Any team that misses the cut deadline will be subject to league review. Ottoneu rules allow a team a 10 day grace period to pay for the following season, however the league will vote to determine whether to allow the team to make penalty free cuts(or if there will be any penalty at all)

i vote for cuts , no penalty and move forward . in a few days another vote to add a clear rule for penalties or not to the by laws and lets have great season !

but certainly did not do deep analysis of everyone's cuts with respect to my own choices. I wish I had that much time. Thanks for everyone's comments and patience. I look forward to another great season. As I said, I'm happy to take on whatever penalty is most appropriate. Sorry for the long post!
