Last night provided a unique opportunity to ground-truth the surplus value calculator specifically to our original league and specific to our set of 12 owners. What I found out is that I would have had to have a budget of $624 to buy back my $349 roster from the original league, for a surplus value of $275.

I like my other team because it seems more built/way better contracts for sustsined success.

I like my other team more as well, but mine here has no chance to win this year. At least there, I think I have a path to second that seems possible with luck.

I like my other team more in a vacuum, but this one has a greater chance to win. Not that I’m calling myself the favorite or anything, but there’s just no clear-cut leader in the clubhouse over here.

Interestingly, it looks like loans aren't showing in the trade summaries, though the dollars workout so the loans are clearly there.

I manually took away the wrong Bichette’s cap penalty to make Mikey’s team legal until we hear back from Niv. Or we can just let it stay that way since it was an honest mistake in the first place that he’s already paid for by losing that spot last night. But at least now he has access to his team.

I took a look at Dante Bichette's Fangraph page and, way back in 2015, he was a 40 FV prospect for the Yankees. Interesting read, with comments on then top prospects Luis Severino, Aaron Judge, and Greg Bird. Prospect #4 was Jacob Lindgren (who?). There's a bunch of who-dat in the 40FV list with surprises like Gary Sanchez and Miguel Andjuar. Steamed dumplings and scallion pancakes for the kids. House special lo mein for me. Kids are all-in on steamed meat dumplings. I try to interest them in vegetable dumplings, fried dumplings, spicy chengdu dumplings, but all they want is peking ravioli.
