First sentence of last post was referring to 2 of 3 last real baseball champions... just to be clear.
-
Kloobs, You make me laugh. Love you and I love dogs!! Team building is "competing", that's why two of the last three champions were the best "competitors". That's why two of the current top three teams in Full Circuit got there by team building and why a double champion like Gravy has been team building for the last two seasons and spent the entire season before he won his first championship team building. Just where do you think I got the idea from?
-
Baseball would also benefit by punishing complete incompetence. We all understand why you’d Stan for bottom-feeding, NGB, no need to put it out there so shamelessly. Here’s a great fucking idea for all competitive endeavors, whether it be fantasy or real sports if any kind — how about competing more than once every half decade instead of laying down like a dog regularly before you ever think to open your mouth to talk shit?
-
You mean Fußball
-
In fantasy baseball, we try to mimic real baseball, not real soccer.
-
In real baseball, 2 of the last 3 World Champions would have been relegated prior to their championship runs, runs that therefore wouldn't have happened. Oh no, all the feel good stories about the Cubs finally winning a championship would never have happened!! Sounds like maybe you should sign-up for a fantasy soccer league.
-
I mean, it could be.
We’ve already got the 2 leagues established
-
Sounds like the German Bundesliga, where bottom 3 teams get sent down to division 2, and top 3 teams from division 2 get sent up..obviously not applicable here
-
Remember how I advocated for relegation of the last place team, or of any team that doesn’t meet a certain point threshold, when we were discussing an alternate to the $700 salary build and the formation of this league? Well I’m in a league (Champs) that relegates the bottom 2 teams, and I’m rebuilding while also being forced to maintain a competitive roster to make sure I avoid relegation, and I’m certain now it’s the best way to address the issue. And other issues we’ve dealt with,

Vlad, Vlad Eloy Brown's trade block has been updated!
-
I da ho? No U da ho's trade block has been updated!
-
Arvada

Try the New Belgium brewery tour; i’m Not much for their beer, but I do like them as a company.
-
And just for the record, I only went on the Coor's Tour because we were entertaining guests from Australia who were dying to do that tour. Adolph Coors is not a guy I can easily forgive or support... I guess, except for a bitch'in cycling jersey. Apparently, my moral turpitude is about as firm as cooked pasta!!
-
Mikey, I've also done the Coor's Brewery tour, so no bias against beer. Picked up one of my favorite cycling jerseys on the Coor's tour... a Colorado Native jersey. Also, in the news department, Maria has now got me drinking beer pretty regularly on our frequent brewery dining excursions. We're booked for dinner tonight at Breckenridge Brewery. Last Sunday I had their Nitro Orange Cream Ale. However, my best find this month was a 7-spice root beer at the New Terrain Brewery in Golden.
-
Of course you have........
-
Brew, I've done the Celestial Seasons factory tour, it was fun. I think everything they make is distributed nationally, and I'm not going to send Charles something he could pick-up at his local grocery store.
-
send his some celestial seasoning mood tamer tea
-
Brew, I would owe Charles.
-
I Da Ho with a 262 point day. Man! Over 60 points just from relievers.
-
If the season ended today, who would owe who a six pack of local craft beer?
-
Awesome, I got a share yesterday in exchange for Yordan
-
Strasburg looks awesome this evening. 97 mph fastball and 78 mph curve with amazing bend.
-
In 2017 8.14 ppg, what a drop off.
-
Nobody will claim or nominate Votto, 16$ is too high for a weak hitting 1b with no speed or other positional eligibility.
-
I've put Gary Sanchez and Omar Narvaez both on my trade block. I hope to trade one before too long. I don't need to carry 2 top catchers if I can get a significant upgrade at SP or MI.
-
Vlad, Vlad, You don't need a currently successful team to judge other people's trades. All you require is an opinion.
-
But ultimately I guess I don't get to judge from 11th place.
-
I almost want to campaign for vetoes, just to give NGB a mulligan.
-
My view is clouded by the fact that 11 teams in this league would have paid much more than that for Freeman.
-
The only thing I don't understand is how Braves traded a Brave.
-
Echoes of Trump with that “both sides”
-
I can actually see both sides of the trade argument. But Vlad, I think your view is clouded by what you would have perhaps been willing to do, but which someone didn’t have the insane patience needed to actually make happen. I can understand both sides of that as well.
-
Cano is $22, half of which would not be enough for my next move. I didn't pick Seager's salary randomly.
-
Cooking worked just as well. As in, cooking meth would’ve been one of the viable explanations (honest ones) that led to the trade
-
Errr... choosing; not cooking
-
Thanks Kloobs, I'll try not to let your praise go to my head. Like the Altuve trade, you're focusing on a small piece of the trade and cooking to pretend that's the whole trade. At least you're consistent.
-
You could have done much better is the collective point. I'd have given you $46 in dead salary (Kluber, Nimmo, Kopech, Heaney) and Dustin May.
-
Forget $15. No one liked him at $3 a few weeks ago
-
I like Pearson too, the kid throws fire and he throws it in the zone for the most part. But no one likes him $15 right now.
-
“Pearson, a random prospect whom I desparately want enough to trade a superstar for, but wouldn’t bid $3 for 6 weeks ago, is probably gettting TJ soon, but it’s ok cause I’m patient” is a brilliant take
-
And yes, I expect the Pearson fixation to end up in TJ surgery too. I've got the time to wait for post-TJ Pearson.
-
Votto and Seager aren’t comps. I’d given you cano. That’s 32? salary (going off memory) compared to the 33? of guys you acquired from crunch?
-
Also Vlad, Vlad, I happen to really, really like Pearson. You, of all owners, should understand how that works... or have you forgotten a certain Honeywell and Kopech fixation of mine from last season?
-
My point is that you could have cleared $15 more cap just by cutting Freeman, as he would have been auctioned 24 hours after you dropped him. So by trading for Votto (to cut for cap space) and Pearson instead, you are implicitly valuing Pearson at $15.
-
And just to be clear, the other shoe does NOT involve any undisclosed arrangements with any team.
-
Vlad Squared, No. You're going to have to wait for the other shoe to drop before you'll understand this trade.
-
Sausage, So you would have been willing to bundle Seager w/ Adell so I could get my cash?
-
*vladdest man
-
Yes, I agree with the baddest man in the whole damn town. I don't get the math.
