Hey, just realized we don’t have a standard auction date for this league. Perhaps we should start trying to come up with a date?
-
Since that’s working... Someone make me an offer for Scherzer
-
Somebody offer me something comparable for Moncada.
-
Syndergaard is a lot of hair and a lot of hype , I will never own him
-
Syndergaard for Lou Bob leaves my socks firmly attached to my feet... maybe if Noah was half the salary...
-
You want Syndergaard for Lou Bob?
-
Not one of those package of deplorables
-
Had better be an epic offer
-
Luis Robert getting a big league deal - no service time shenanigans. Who wants to step up with a big offer to get him? Impress me.
-
Who wants to make the first trade of the year? I still have superstars with their bags packed waiting for their flight
-
I suppose an alternative to selling off Mookie or Lindor would be moving Scherzer. I assume I could get something better for him since there’s only so many aces to go around, so hit me up if you need one and have capspace to fit him
-
Anyone interested in $48 Stanton? $33 Syndergaard? I'll trade them for some salary savings, if I can get some decent players back.
-
Much like the Red Sox, It looks like I may be forced financially to move Mookie. If I can’t find a deaI I like for him, I’ll have to move Lindor. So if anyone is interested in either, lemme know soon
-
I'm open for business in this league, too. I want to deal mainly from my ridiculous prospect pool. If you want a young stud-to-be, come peruse my roster.
-
Have to ask Kev. He’s the deal magnate
-
Bunches of trades in the other league and none in this league? What’s up with that?
-
Geez, Fred. The consternation and mayhem was yours all along. I have removed that $3 allocation from Alonso’s salary.
-
I don’t think we should institute a rule today to implement tomorrow, in terms of adding salary to the transgressor, but we certainly will back those $3 off Alonso’s salary if that last allocation remains.
-
That was me Brew. Consternation or mild mayhem would only be secondary benefits. I thought it would be worth showing what teams had “won” by finishing where they did, and the google assistant was prepared to make sure I didn’t forget. Not that she needed to say anything, with all the anxiety in here. Anyway, Alonso stands alone, I think (since I took my $$ off Yonder the Great too).
-
The dollars on Tatis have dissapeared. I suspect one of the wise guys in here was trying to cause consternation or mild mayhem.
-
Yep - Little Birds, that's also what I suggest, although I didn't state it as clearly as you did.
-
I would support that. The player added to could be at the commishes discretion or just pile on to whatever player received the most allocations on the offending team.
-
My vote is that if an owner puts money on the protected guys, then the commish corrects the salary on the protected player (i.e. returns Tatis to correct salary) AND puts the incorrect dollars on the owner that screwed up, maybe to player that got the most arb. We gotta have some kind of penalty, right? Its not hard people (Im hoping Im not the one fucking up).
-
Arbitration ends today and there are still illegal dollars on protected guys. What happens if this is not corrected? Can the illegal dollars be placed back on the team that screwed up?
-
Looks like there are still some random bucks on Alonso, Tatis, and Alvarez...
-
Fred is right. No one is Special and gets to allocate to protected players. That would be rude.
-
Stop your messing around
Better think of your future
Time you straighten right out
Creating problems in town
-
So I’m assuming that the allocations towards the protected players are just people messing around. But, in case they remain thru the end of arb, I suppose the best way of addressing that is just to go in and manually reduce (which is possible thru commissioner tools) those players’ salaries to the original amount?
-
To be fair, four names is a lot for people to remember...
-
There are arbitration dollars allocated towards all four players on the restricted list.
-
Probably I arbed all the wrong people. I'll check.
-
Somebody allocated to Tatis....that's a Bozo no no
-
Read down in these messages—Yordan Alvarez, Pete Alonso, Bo Bichette, Fernando Tatis.
-
Is there a list of which players are protected from arbitration? It might be obvious somewhere, but I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate the site.
-
Braves of Yore has now been renamed "Shivakamini Somakandarkram 🏆"
You can just call us the Shivas, though.
-
I guess Yordan Alvarez
-
Pete Alonso.
-
I’ll protect Bichette from arbitration.
-
I finished 7th , I announce Tatis to be withheld from arbitration
-
Thanks. I have a big product due Monday that I’m behind on due to being sick. I’ll try to get it done Tuesday.
-
Alright, Mikey, Ottoneu has finally stopped adjusting points, and releasing payouts, so you’re good to do the same
-
Only if you can top my total points between all leagues
-
Do I get a prize for the most total points between the two leagues?
-
Little disappointed to drop to third but good year, the competitiveness in this leagues was excellent!
-
Congrats Henry, great season! And congrats to Hitch, Schmegs, and Kevin too. And to all those teams that did a better job than I did of building for next year, which should be very interesting. Finally, I note that the loss of over-achiever-in-chief Trout apparently did not affect the thousand point gap to Brew.
-
Congrats Mechanics!!
-
Thanks, all. This year was a blast and I had a lot of fun working with the cap. There are some remarkable runs recorded in the standings. Schmegs set a crazy pace from opening day and Kevin's two-month run from the All-Star break to mid-September was epic. Hitch had me plotting on my September pitching starts for weeks ahead. I thought I was going to need all of them.
-
Fun year, we all had same chance starting out with nothing, remarkable seasons had
-
Henry kicked ass , and even after trading Devers to Brent ! Well done Henry and Jeremy , Cotton and Kevin as well
-
The Mechanics really poured it on the last week (and the last 30 days). 19.5+ in a first year league with a cap is a hell of an accomplishment. Well done, Henry.
