July 11, 2025 5:00 PM : The Tigers announced Friday that Carpenter (hamstring) has resumed hitting and defensive drills and is participating in a running progression, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Analysis: Carpenter is eligible to return from the 10-day injured list Friday, but since he has yet to be cleared for a rehab assignment, he likely won't be activated until at some point after the All-Star break. Prior to suffering a strained right hamstring and landing on the IL on July 2, Carpenter slashed .257/.285/.494 with 16 home runs and one stolen base over 277 plate appearances.
