August 22, 2025 11:16 AM : Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Friday that Cruz (shoulder) is playing catch from about 75 feet and is in the beginning stages of his throwing progression, MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Cruz was placed on the injured list Aug. 3 with right shoulder tendinitis. While no firm return date has been set for the 26-year-old reliever, based on where he currently stands in his recovery, he's unlikely to be activated before the end of the month.
