Just a heads up I will be a bit late for the draft as I have a work event as well. I’ve never done an ottoneu league before but auction all the bad players first
-
Yeah, this is my first year doing Ottoneu and am a hard core fantasy fan but for sure know that this type of fantasy is beyond unique and different. And for my first Ottoneu league, I kind of wanted to be able to draft not especially at work haha. So if someone knew of anyone who wanted to take my team and be able to draft tomorrow that'd be great.
-
Oddly enough, this arose in my other Ottoneu league. We had 1 team show up about 2 hours late on Day 1 and another team not show up at all until Day 2 due to an illness. It definitely takes an adjustment in strategy and expectations for year 1 but neither team did terrible. You would be in a better position going into Day 2 since the drafting sessions are going to be an hour shorter, so we won't cover as many players on Day 1 & you will have the most $$$ on Day 2.
-
Not sure if you guys know of anyone who would want to take my team or not by tomorrow. I have to work tomorrow night and will be able to draft if needed, but for the sake of the league and for myself, I would rather have someone else draft so the draft goes a lot more smoothly.
-
Makes sense. We will do the 6 hours of drafting (split over 2 nights) and then teams will fill their remaining spots via waiver auctions as they go.

FWIW..The Ottoneu draft in my other league was my 1st Ottoneu draft. It took 7-8 hours to complete. It can go faster if teams don't miss their turns. You get 30 seconds to nominate & make the first bid on a player. If a team misses its turn, that's 30 wasted seconds. By itself, its not a big deal but it starts to add up. Also, there really is no "sniping" since the clock resets after each bid to at least 10 or 15 seconds, so getting your bid in earlier helps move things a

The second session can be rescheduled if need be but hoping to stick with those days.

Hey there, not sure if this would good, but that weekend, April 14th and April 15th would work perfect for me.

Draft will be held over 2 nights during the week of April 9th. Each session will be 3 hours (8:45 - 11:45pm EST). After that, remaining roster spots can be filled using waiver auctions.
