I like that idea, as I'll be traveling starting on Thursday and would like to be done by then, if possible.

8Pm tonight the MILB draft will start. TB2 u are up as of 2000 hours. All teams will have 12 hours from the time of the last pick to send in their pick. Drops can be made at anytime up until the draft is over. Call ups can also be made at any time. We can amend the rules in the offseason.

LG I agree that the rule may need more clarification and I am 100 percent open to taking a vote on amending the rule or any rules you guys think would better the league. I am trying to get some of the owners a little more familiar with the process who have never done a MILB type roster. Hc I also agree that maybe we need to put something in place to freeze rosters during the draft process. My thoughts were the mILB draft is after the regular draft and most teams have the 40 man filled.

I'm good either way the commishes decide. I do think it's cleaner to lock the number of spots pre-draft and means less work for the commishes but whatevers clever.

In the past, we've gone with a "plain text" interpretation of the rules, IIRC.

FWIW, my interpretation of the rules is that a player can be called up any time (including mid draft) and if a vacancy exists, then it can be filled during the draft (see section 1). I don't necessarily agree with that (it seems like it should lock), but the rules are written as they're written. If we want to tweak them, then we should do it in the off-season by majority vote. If we do it outside the off-season, then it should require a unanimous vote, IMHO. YMMV.

Right. But "When do the number of open MILB roster spots lock?" Like if we call up a player mid draft, do we get to fill that newly open milb roster spot during the draft?

For the milb draft, can we draft to full every open spot? When do the number of open MILB rosters lock? I mean, can we call up players while the draft is going and then fill those empty spots during the draft?

Have you ever tried doodle? You can throw out multiple days and times in a survey format. Then we all select the options we can do. Good way to see which dates and times work best.

Draft day? Late or early March? Weekend or weekday? A lot of us have several drafts. I would like to get an idea of a draft day this week and lock it in. See if anyone has any restrictions or suggestions on a day and I will try and lock one in this week.
