I was able to confirm on the Ottoneu Slack workspace that you can bid on any player that you cut, just as you would any other player - e.g. starts at $1

I think the upper end on SP/Wk 8,9,10. 9 is a good baseball #...Roy Hobbs.

it seems as though all players entering the draft revert to 1$ minimum--i'm basing that off of when I look up free agents, their salary is $0. if anyone can find evidence otherwise, i'd be glad to know. also, i did notice that 7-10 start limit option. I think we should pick 9 or 10 starts per week. this will also open up 5 SP slots per day, so that there will be no worry about leaving starts on the bench.

Not sure anyone answered Buffalo Bills. Are we able to bid on players we cut in the off season, and also so cut players start out at half their salary in our auction, or are they reset to $1 minimum?

Hot Stove greetings all. I would like to propose that we adopt the new SP weekly start limit, we can chose for it to be 7, 8, 9 or 10 starts per week. I think this will help the league develop in competitive balance next year. The thread containing more on this is here : https://community.ottoneu.com/t/development-through-november-2018/4272/3 Just a heads up for now, maybe we can solidify it in the spring when were all more active?
-
the only date that isn't set by the site is our auction/draft day. we should set this soon. since the season starts march 28, can everyone respond with weekends in late feb/march that they are free? if we don't hear back from everyone, we'll simply pick a date based off the responses we have

Sry guys, I'm against adding a buy in for this league. It could be put to a vote I suppose, I would leave if its decided for it.

I'd be into making things a little more interesting

a buy in is a good question. it seems like the base pricing for all teams is going up to $20 next year anyway, with official tier prizes as below:
$50 Tier
1st place - $200
2nd place - $100
3rd place - $50
$75 Tier
1st place - $400
2nd place - $150
3rd place - $75
if $50 is too much, we can do something in between. how many people are willing to pay towards a prize, keeping in mind the $20 fee?

Should we increase the buy-in, and give cash awards to the winner, runner-up, etc.?

Read the entire rule. I took over a team last year and I had to do it. The comish had to reminded owners to do it because for it to work correctly participate.

. Allocations
a. The allocation system gives a $25 budget to each team in the league.
b. The team must allocate this budget towards players on other teams.
c. Each team must allocate at least one dollar to every other team, and no team can allocate more than $3 to any other team.
d. At the end of the allocation period, all players have their salary increased by the amount allocated towards them.
-
congrats! good season. wonder what the off-season mechanics look like.
