Sorry I meant no for #2
-
1.). I vote no to limit, 2.) Yes to 4 playoff teams
-
Mark- Don't get bitter, get better. :)

The league is f*cking one year old...why are we 'shaking things up' already...I'll tell you why, a bunch of scabs dont like their teams based on current rules. Bush league man. Whats up OMAR!
-
Thanks for the all caps answer Matt.
Whenever new options are presented to Ottoneu, I will present them to the league. Changes are not a given, the vote will decide.
Now go chill with Omar.
-
I also do not like the changes even being suggested. Teams were drafted a certain way bc of certain strategies, what a person thought would help them win, then to go and put something up for a vote out of the blue can change the dynamic of their team. I based my team off of what rules are right now, even though its a year away it would still impact what I did based on current rules.
Where did this idea even come from?
NO AND NO.
-
Yes. No.
-
1. Yes 2. No
Also-
Was your anti-proposal proposal delivered through the same outlet that your proposal proposes against?
I was under the impression that you could not triple stamp a double stamp.
-
1) no 2) no - I also 100% agree with Omar
-
Ha ha how would you suggest I propose it? An email goes to everyone from a post and the league is very active. It’s the easiest way and already had a team vote. If there was a poll I would have done it that way. I do this in other leagues and it works just fine. Not sure what’s up with all the skepticism, but chill out it will be fine.
-
1. No 2. No I also want to make a proposal that no proposal can be made just by leaving a message on the message board and leaving it to a vote. Obviously there are backroom discussions happening. This is not a way to run a league and you will lose owners if this process is allowed.
-
Forgot to mention to we'll leave the vote open through April and go with the majority votes. Thanks
-
1. Yes
2. No
-
Now that we've started the season I wanted to present the league a couple of options we can vote for 2020.
1.) Would you want to allow for 5 SP spots per day, but keep the max starts at 14 per week vs. current format: 2 SP per day, with a max starts at 14 per week?
2.) Would you want to expand playoffs to 6 teams (3 Division Winner, 3 Wild Card) vs. current format: 4 teams (3 Division Winners, 1 Wild Card).
Please respond to by posting 1.) Yes or No, 2.) Yes or No.
Thanks everyone.

Yes, we will be drafting this Wednesday at Feb. 20th at 9PM EST

any takeaways from the Doodle results? Inclined to change the date? Ideally we can lock this down asap.

I'll be sending out a Doodle to get this done. The date with most people to do the draft will be what we choose. Only fair way to do it and not have people come back late to change the entire draft. Be on the look out for it to your email.
-
We will draft Wed. March 6th at 9PM EST. If we need a second date, it will Thurs. March 14th at 9PM EST.

I'm good for all 3.

Wednesday's arent ideal for me, but could possibly make one of those dates work if we cant find another day.
-
Draft Talk: When do we want to do this? I think we need to consider that we may need two draft days with 58% of roster spots available, but hopefully not. I'm looking to target a weekday starting at 9PM EST which is 6PM for the West Coast crew. Let me know which date works better Feb. 27th or March 6th or March 13th?
Everyone please post the date that works best and if any date doesn't work at all.
Thanks

Springer Dinger...
George has missed a few team meetings and looking for a new home. Anyone interest? Great clubhouse guy. Needs a change of scenery

No worries, just wanted to be sure. The detail about not loaning cap space in the offseason is good to know.

Kevin, reading back on my posts, I said starting on Feb. 1st you are locked into your roster until the draft is over. Sorry for the confusion. Moral of the story for everyone, trades can happen now and have been able to for the last three months, but they are hard to come by as they usually only happen with one team trying to get something for a player they are likely to cut and the other team having the cap space to take on a overpaid player without a loan. Trades are still up for league vote.
-
Juan that’s a great idea but the league is not customizable and I’m not up for doing anything manually. Our veto power is what will need to be used should we really view trades as unfair.
-
No, there are trades all offseason after arbitration is over, but cannot loan cap space.
-
Cole, didn't you say there were no trades right now?

I’m coming into this late, but maybe we can have a luxury tax penalty for going over a certain amount of dollar bills in a season. Like in the MLB it’s 190Mil and penalty for 1st time offenders is 15%, second is 25%, third is 40% and so on. We can set a dollar bill number for the season and then your salary is cut by a certain percentage next season if you pass that luxury tax number. It impedes from taking on these huge contracts without a penalty... just an idea.
-
You can loan cap space in season to make a trade work trade cap space for a player.
Trevor is going to have to cut almost all the players he traded for (Correa, Kershaw, etc.), so they worked pretty much as rentals.
We’ll see how this plays out Year Two, but that is very much how to get deals done for your overpriced players, should you want to move them.
So far that strategy has worked in our current format. I’m looking forward to seeing other potential styles working.
-
Didn’t know you can cut players without a penalty, that’s BS

I can take a stab at this one... Let's take a toooo-ho-hoootally hypothetical situation where you're in a league with a bunch of clowns who have no clue what they are doing. Some guys you don't know are crushing the league, but you've got one friend still kind of it. He's got some overpriced useless prospects and you trade your star player for them. But with the price difference, you give a loan to your buddy to make the deal work. Repeat about 5 times. Your buddy wins the title. Rejoice.

Alright guys, January 31st is a BIG day. It is the last day you can cut someone from your team with no penalty before our draft. Starting on Feb. 1st you have your team and roster spots open until our draft is complete. You will NOT be able to cut, trade or pick up any player.
Your rosters will need to be at 40 players and $400 or less as well starting on Feb. 1st
Please let me know if anyone has any questions.
