With the MLB season start being pushed back, does the league want to push back the draft date as well? I am personally fine with whatever the majority decides, but I want to present the option.
-
What's you've suggested seems reasonable, PCEx. I'm on board.
-
Not nominating a player in the end game, can potentially give you an advantage. So here is what I purpose...after the second break, you are allowed to miss one nomination (I think we can all agree that things happen and we might slip up). After your one mulligan, if you miss another nomination, you are locked out of bidding for one round of bids. Does this seem fair to everyone? This happened in the draft I did tonight and caused quite an argument.
-
A little under two weeks before the draft. I just had my first ottoneu draft of the season and I want to bring up a couple things. First, I would like to plan two five minute breaks. One after the first hour and the second one after the second hour. After the second one, we should be good to go until the end (or until you decide you are done). Second, please make sure that you are ready to nominate players. More on this in the next message.
-
Draft has now been set for March 21st, 8 PM EST. It looked like the 21st was the best option out of all of the available dates. The time is flexible I believe, but you should plan on around 3-4 hours for the draft. If there are any issues, please post a message. I had to get something on the calendar.
-
21st is doable for me too.

21st night time works for me

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. So it seems like our best bet is either the 21st or the 22nd in the afternoon/evening (I have a draft already in the morning). So is there anyone that absolutely cannot draft on the 21st?
-
21st works for me.

PCEx, I am also available on the March 21st date, as well as any of those previously suggested. I know it is difficult to get responses and get a time on the calendar that works for everyone. My other leagues have been using this site to find a window: whenisgood.net. Just a suggestion, in case that is helpful...
-
Saturday the 21st also works okay for me.

So I thought my in person draft was the Saturday before the season starts (21st), but it is the Saturday after the season starts, so that would also be an option.
-
Last year I drafted both of my leagues at the exact same time, I still have a headache from that
-
Hi, I already have another draft scheduled for the 22nd. So the other days are currently preferred for me. Thanks.

Sundays are probably best for me (3/15 would be the preference) but could make any of the dates/times work.

I could make any of the proposed days work. Looks like we might be honing in on Mar 22nd, so that is my preferred day because I will be blocking it out to my other leagues. Thx!
-
My preference would be either of the two Sundays

Sun 22 works best for me - the fridays probably don’t work but if I have to I can *try* to make it work
-
I prefer Friday the 20th or Sunday the 22nd. The 14th I can make work. Sunday the 15th in the morning/afternoon would be tough for me.

My preferences would be Sun 3/15 or Sun 3/22. I am good with any time those days really.

Okay, so the last outstanding team has extended. Since we now have a full league, we should start the discussion about the draft. Here are my recommendations, Saturday March 14th (evening), Sunday March 15th (morning/afternoon ), Friday March 20th (evening) or March 22nd (late afternoon/evening).
Let me know what works for you and what absolutely does not work for you.
-
We also need to start thinking about when to have the draft. I will work on that over the weekend
-
Kristy, send me a message with his information. I am going to check with Synder one last time and if I don’t hear from him, I will pass along the invite to your pal.
-
I have a potential owner. He is new to Ottoneu but has played redraft for the last couple years.

I know there are only a few teams that haven't done it. But make sure that you extend your franchise by the 31st so that you team doesn't become available to be picked up. As of right now, it looks like we will have one open team. So if anyone knows someone that is looking to join a league, send me a dm. Make sure to do that quick if you know someone, because this is considered a public league and the spot will be available for anyone.

Rizzo is in! Hoping to finally finish in top eight this year! Looking forward to auction!
-
I plan on sticking around.
-
I plan to return and have renewed my payment through 2021. It would be nice to hear from everybody. It's been a little quiet around here... 😉
-
Is there anyone that does not plan on returning for next year? Need to start making arrangements for replacements if necessary.
-
Good turn out so far on the arbitration, only three teams left to apply their dollars
-
I do enjoy that someone put an arbitration dollar on Felipe Vazquez. That made me laugh, thank you.
-
Ricky, if Alonoso sticks at $21, he's still a bargin!

Reminder to everyone - arbitration is open now. It ends Nov 14. It took me 5 or 10 minutes to do.

Congratulations, Pork-Chop Express on another outstanding season. And well-done Krusty and Ricky on your strong teams and the push for second place. Thanks to everyone who kept it an active and fun league this year.
-
Congrats to the winners. It was pretty competitive to the very end. Looking forward to the off season and next season. If you can, let me know as early as you can about your potential status for next season. I hope we can keep everyone together, but just want enough time to find alternative s if someone isn’t coming back. Take care of yourself over the off season.
-
Congratulations, Pork-Chop, Krusty, and Ricky. You guys did a great job from Opening Day through September. I'll be out to get you next year. :-)

Last week of the season, good luck to all the teams competing for money!! Should be a very interesting week
-
Ouch, JB. Pitching is just brutal this year. I don't even scroll down to pitching stats--it hurts too much.
-
Holy cow, 3 times in the past week I have had a starting pitcher not even make it out of the 1st inning!

Not sure why you can’t find him in the listings. I just tried myself. But he is on Rizzos team.

Why can't I find Brent Honeywell in the player listings?

PC, I don't follow football much anymore, so I don't think I could pull off an Ottoneu football league. But thanks for asking!
-
Just remember that the trade deadline is next saturday, so make sure to get your moves in by that time if you are doing them. Also, not sure if there would be much interest...but I will float it out there. Would anyone be interested in doing an Ottoneu Fantasy Football league to pass the off season?
-
Does anyone know why I can’t move Brendan McKay to my pitchers lineup? He pitched for the Rays yesterday and I wasn’t able to start him. Does he have to make a certain number of starts ?
-
Thanks PC. Sorry, I wasn't pushing for the settings change. I was just thinking about the keeper situation and how off-season allocations might affect players. Not that I've given up on catching you this year! ...but almost... :)
-
Residue, yes...we did vote to change it and it was heavily favored. I am aware it needs to be changed, and it will be changed before the off-season.
-
Just to check against the totals, as of today, the 2019 MLB average BA is .248, ERA 4.40 and WHIP 1.32.
The best team averages are .275 (MIN) , 2.98 (TBR) and 1.08 (HOU).
Helpful info for us? Probably not. But still interesting.
