Ouch 2IP/9H/1K/1BB and already optioned back to AAA.
-
Yelich Bin Ein Marliner's trade block has been updated!
-
It's the Braves offense. He might throw a no-hitter.
-
Anyone want to make a beer bet on the number of batter's he'll face? Or even his WHIP, perhaps?
-
Haha... Cole has been owned by 6 different teams in our league dating back almost 4 years ago to July 2011.
-
You guys... AJ Cole is actually going to play major league baseball!
-
Not sure when I'll get around to all the offers but feel free to shoot me a trade that will help you now and me later. This season is ruined for me so I'm having a big sale on players.
-
It's not just you. It's the same with my scoring as well.
-
Curious, is anyone else having problems with last night's scoring? My pitchers scored around 55 points, but the total pitching points shows as -21. The K column totals up as "false."
-
Nyjerz Wit Attitudes's trade block has been updated!
-
Silver lining: Brandon McCarthy will have a /ton/ more time for twitter.
-
I don't believe in Tex either, but hot damn, $1?!
-
I was tempted, but there's no room for him with the great Alex Guerrero slotting into my util spot. Ha.
-
If anyone regret not bidding >$1, worry not: my roster of death spares no soul. He'll be injured within a week.
-
I noticed I just don't think he can stay healthy long enough to hit 600pts. for the season. If you can get another month of this production before he slips, you made a sound investment.
-
Now that Big Tex's been rostered (for $1!?!?!) , it may be worth pointing out that he's the 10th highest-scoring batter of the season thus far and sporting a .152 BABIP.
-
My take away from he video of the Royals/Sox fight: Eric Hosmer is a month away from sporting a rat-tail.
-
according to a thing on the internet, during the 8th inning sale went to the royals locker room looking to fight ventura. what a skinny fight that would be.
-
Also, FWIW, Eaton chirped at Ventura as he came out of the box in response to what was probably a quick-pitch, and Ventura responded. Prior to that in the 7th, Samarjztsirksjcnka called out Colon after he lined out into a double play. Rest of the series should be REAL interesting, though!
-
I honestly didn't know youtube had pre-video ads until a friend tried to show me a clip of something last month. Ad Block Plus is a lifesaver and sanity keeper.
-
Lol, just kidding. My adblocker crashed. The internet is much more annoying with ads
-
Not sure, but holy hell MLB Gameday went ad crazy today.
-
Damn, Yordano Ventura seems like a dick. What's gotten into him the last few games?
-
Three Days of the Lindor's trade block has been updated!
-
Yelich Bin Ein Marliner's trade block has been updated!

PSA: The new feature of "^" and "x" that tell you if a player is in the starting lineup is still a little funky. I've noticed that some players will initially get an "x" that will subsequently change to a "^". In general, if you see a guy get an "x" who doesn't have an obvious reason to be out of the lineup, wait a few minutes and it might update with a "^". I just had this issue with Stanton and Yelich and it resolved after about 5 min.
-
Bud Norris got me 52.6 points that day. Madison Bumgarner? 5.6
-
Cross you got the "amateur" part right...BOOM!
-
That really is a ridiculous day. If every hitter went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, you'd have almost exactly 236 points. It's nice to talk about this now because my champions league team can't buy a home run right now.
-
I feel like an amateur Mark Simon right now. This is awesome haha
-
So in the history of our league, starters have hit 8+ home runs on a given day only 3 times. Of those 3 time, Nyjerz did it twice. Gyork Store managed to hit 8 back on 4/9/2011, but he only netted 131.50 points. That's part of what makes Nyjerz' 236.80 point day so absurd.
-
Yeah, it was that day on 5/11/2012 that Rogoff's sqaud hit 10 HRs (9 from starters, 1 from the bench). It was particularly unfair, because just 3 days earlier he had 8 starting HRs and 1 off the bench!!
-
Woo, I get a record too! Feels like I've had a few of those, actually.
-
Wow, that's really cool. Is there anyway to see the results from that day? I remember one specific day when I think my team hit 10 home runs including a late one by Ike Davis while I was at the Mets-Phillies game. I remember checking the scores when I got home from the game and being astounded.
-
Happy Addison Russell Day! The Cubs are happening!!!1
-
Wow, nicely done! This is awesome.

Here's a shitty little graphic that answers my earlier question of exactly HOW impressive my 155.40 batters' points were. Turns out, it /was/ really good, but (no surprise) Nyjerz holds the record. Back on May 11th, 2012 his batters put up 236.8 points!?!?! Next closest was Citizen Kang on July 3rd, 2012 with 167.8. Of course, I couldn't annotate the graph without throwing in a mention of the lowest batters' daily score in league history...Mendy City went 2-for-41 and net -19 on May 3, 2014.
-
Alright you guys, check this out. Last night, after my batters put up 7 HR and netted me 155.40 points, I was pretty excited. So excited, in fact, that I decided to try to investigate to see exactly /how/ impressive that was in the context of all-time league history. I'm pleased to say I figured out how to scrape all of our daily scoring data dating back to 2011, and I now have it all sitting in a file on my computer! I have a LOT planned for this, but I'm too thrilled with this not to share...
-
First hit is a short-center broken bat bloop double!
-
He got on base!
-
I am reminded of headier days, when a young Cub named Brett Jackson arrived in The Windy City; much to the delight of opposing pitcher's strikeout totals.
-
It was clear he was feeling the pressure, being at home. The whole place was standing with phones out for like every at bat.
-
I didn't get to watch the Cubs game today -- did Bryant just look totally overmatched?
-
I really feel that just ONE more day in the minors would have helped avoid a rough debut.
-
If you watch the 3rd K in the 5th, you can hear fans yelling "you suck!"
-
Now that he has doubled the 1.5 strikeouts, do I get double the beer?
-
3 K's in the bag!
-
To live up to his reputation he'll have to have 3 Ks and a HR every game.
-
Now that Bryant has his two K's under his belt (and I lost the bet), I'm kind of cheering for the Golden Sombrero.
