Mike neglected to mention the immense emotional satisfaction of having a great farm system

Honey Badger Don't Care's trading block has been updated!

Whatever would make you think that? The ridiculous amounts of $ spent on single A prospects, perhaps? Well, but no. We don't get points for minor league stats.
-
Ok thanks. Wasn't sure if we got points or if the value was purely in getting guys to keep for the future.

-
So do we get points for minor leaguer stats?
-
Yeah, welcome to both new players! We also have one more open slot for next year. If anyone has a friend they'd like to invite, let me know and I can set that up.

Dan's Harem's trading block has been updated!
-
Hey all, just joined the league. Open to all trade discussions
-
Changed team name from Safe Votto...just FYI to avoid any confusion....
-
Yeah I like some of the parts here...just a matter of managing the team better from the looks of it.
-
Welcome. Don't feel that the standings of the team you have inherited is indicative of it's potential. He mostly ended up at the bottom, due to not updating his roster on a regular basis.
-
Just taking over this team, and figuring things out...looks like I need to cut some salary
-
Open to any trade discussions....

Also, found this: End of Arbitration Voting - November 1, 2011
-
uggghhhhh Feb. 1st?!?! baseball off-season is sooooooooooo long.
-
Nyjerz Wit Attitudes's trading block has been updated!
-
Not sure when arb voting ends, but the keeper deadline is February 1st. You can drop players for no penalty until then. After Feb 1st you get up to two more free drops before the draft.
-
Just remembered guys, I forgot to respond to the email about next year. I'm definitely in!
-
When does Arbitration voting take effect?
-
Looking around at other Ottoneu leagues. Our prices on pitchers got out of hand, leaving very little room for cap growth for most teams.
-
The rules state that if they have ever seen play in the Majors they are a $2 increase.
-
So, I thought players only got a $2 increase if they had MLB time this last season, not if they've every played at the MLB level
-
Yeah, great season guys! Thanks for making it so much fun. And thanks to Asdrubal Cabrera for hitting 25 home runs this year!
-
and congrats to me for getting all the way to 4th place after sitting in last as late as June. well done!
-
Indeed, congrats on a 1k point blowout!! It was a tight race for a while and then all of a sudden it wasn't a race anymore.
-
Official congratulations to Nyjer Wit Attitudes for soundly thumping the league. In the words of every living Cubs fan. Just wait until next year!
-
Weaver Fever's trading block has been updated!
-
Yeah, I'm a little confused by that. Care to explain?
-
Interesting Alvarez strategy...
-
Today is national talk like a pirate day: "Arhg! Yet another year trapped in the purgatory of Davey Williams locker! We will always remember this as the day we almost caught Captain Jack Wilson!"
-
Otto needs too work on the quality of his graphs though. Points per day averaged from the beginning of the season is really boring to look at.
-
They kind of already have that actually: http://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/90/graphs
-
It would be interesting (at this point) to look back and see if we could figure out exactly where Nyjerz ran away with the league haha
-
Speaking of a suggestion, I was thinking the other day how cool it would be if we could see the standings over time on just a line graph
-
If you email help@ottoneu.com, Niv Shah, who runs this whole thing is very responsive to suggestions like that -- you should drop him a line.
-
it would be nice if there was some warning about guys coming off the 60-day DL. All of a sudden Alex White shows up and I end up getting no points for the day because my roster suddenly had too many actives.
-
yeah, he made no moves because he wanted his successor to make those decisions.... SO WHY NOT MAKE HIM LEAVE ON THE DAY HE'S FIRED?!?
-
I love this: "The actual firing was done July 22, but Hendry wanted to help the team by staying on through the July 31 trading deadline." And help he did! Way to not make any moves at the deadline, you idiot. $10 says Minaya is hired as his replacement.
-
thank you ricketts

I think it was less about the K/9 and more about his 33 CG with a 27-14 record. I'll give an MVP vote to any modern pitcher that can throw 352.1 quality innings without having his arm go dead in the process.
-
RAnd Dizzy Trout finished second in MVP voting in 1944 by putting up a 2.12 ERA despite striking batters out at an Elmer Dessens-esque 3.7 per 9 IP. Guess that works when you're pitching to Geena Davis and Madonna instead of Ted Williams.
-
Chester Guppy is an outstanding baseball name. In 1925 he hit 17 home runs for the Moline Plowboys. That's not half-bad for such a lightweight (according to his baseball-reference page he weighed zero pounds).
-
I remembered the classics like Catfish Hunter and Kevin Bass. Did a little searching found some doozies: Oyster Burns, Chester Guppy, Dizzy Trout & Chico Salmon
-
Oh, Tim Salmon! Good one. Who knew there were so many fish-related baseball names?
-
I can only hope Tim Salmon named his son appropriately.
