• I am able to change the scoring format to 4x4 or w/e you guys want, but only if everything is interested. Like Hasty said, changing categories would drastically alter player value which is kinda bad in a semi-dynasty format. That being said, I would still be open to changing to 4x4

• But personally, I like 5x5 exactly because of the fact that the stats don't always tell you the complete story about a player. I like having to consider all the other factors, including luck, in my player valuations. It makes it more fun for me. Getting more granular with the stats that are used to score fantasy seems less fun. I want to use the underlying stats to try to explain the roto stats, not get closer to using the underlying stats themselves.

• Right. Max, maybe you're not aware that the league started just this year, but considering this fact, you'll realize that as recently as this spring, we all had our pick of leagues to join, and we all chose specifically to join a 5x5 roto format.

• I know when we (my teams 2 owners) were looking for leagues when we started, we were looking for 5x5 since we had never done ottoneu, and didn’t want to do a whole new format and a very different scoring system than we were used to. Not that I think there’s anything wrong with the 4x4 system, but changing categories would drastically alter player value (loss of steals being the biggest loss) which is tough to do in a semi-dynasty league. Also not sure if it’s even possible to change

• I hope I don't come off as the new guy trying to change the rules BUT why are we doing the old school 5x5 scoring system? With all the advanced analytics out there, everyone pretty much agrees batting average and wins are essentially worthless stats (in that they don't tell you very much about the player). I would suggest Ottoneu Classic - Rotisserie-style 4x4 sabermetric-hybrid (OBP, SLG, HR, R and ERA, WHIP, HR/9, K). This is the original Ottoneu format anyway, have we considered this?
