not like I am bitter or P.O.'d. Again, to each their own...but, wow.

To each their own. So Cal and I discussed Trout's value, so it's like I am not bitter or P.O.'d. I just don't think bailing out league champs is good for the league, period.

Using the 2020 Auction Calculator.... Trout is projected at 1280, Dozier at 727. So... all those other guys aren't going to more than make up the difference in points? Even if Water Champs is right on betting on Trout, it's a one year deal. Trout will $90 (or more) this time next season, so he's getting cut then.

Kudos to So Cal. Things have apparently changed in this stuff. When I started several years ago, the league champ was done no favors in re-loading for the next season. I guess things have changed.

I see it as he’s somewhere between 324-486 points better than a 6ppg hitter over the course of a complete season (more realistically, call it 260-390 since he’ll probably play 130+ games). At $80+, I’m inclined to agree with you. Essentially, you’re paying for his 8+ppg consistency and name. He’s a freak, no doubt about it. But I’m surprised anyone’s salary clears $60. At a certain point, it becomes a disservice. Unless, of course, your roster is prepared to accommodate, as WC’s

He's good but not that good...my opinion

Don't know if it's me that's wrong but you guys seem to evaluate Trout very highly. Whole bunch of players for him.........same thing in another league I'm in

Looking to deal Trout and Scherzer, let me know if you are interested in either and we can work something out.
-
If anyone is interested in Rizzo or Bryant and wants to send back SP....let me know.
Not sure what I am doing yet to get under cap, but always willing to kick tires on trades.
What else are are doing over the winter, once college football ends?

If there's anybody NOT planning on returning next year, please let me know immediately.
Arbitration will begin in two weeks on Oct 15, and run thru Nov 14. On Oct 15, there will be an "Arbitration" menu button available in the top left of the league page. You'll have $25 to allocate out to the other teams. You must allocate at least $1 to each team or else none of your allocations will count. Participation in arbitration is required. Let me know if there are any

Thanks, it was a fun year!
-
Yeah claim those badges dawg - you probably qualify for most of them
-
Congratulations to our league champion Socal Sluggers! A dominant year, finishing as number 38 on the global leaderboard.

Ah, that's cool, thanks!

Yeah...when a new manager takes over “in-season” they get to cut anyone penalty-free and those guys reset to zero.
-
Is Carrasco supposed to only be a minimum bid of $1?

New owner on board! Mark, welcome to the league!

Did we get a new owner?
-
I agree with the acclamation time thing. Just after the trade deadline seems like a good idea. I’ll look into someone I know too
-
Either way works. In season is probably better to get settled in. May have a guy. He’s gone back and forth. I’ll check with him once we determine when we want them to join.
-
I'm ok filling the owner slot for Water Champs during the season. As someone who joined the league in the offseason last year, it took a little time to familiarize myself with all the rules and processes. Giving a new owner more time to acclimate would be beneficial to the new owner and the league.
-
Questions for the league:
Does anyone have objections on abandoning the team on 9/1 and prefer I wait until the season completes?
Does anyone have a replacement owner in mind?
-
Hi all, Water Champs has gone AWOL, and he'll be replaced.
I do not want to insert a new owner this close to the trade deadline.
The new owner would be handed a lot of great assets, and the last thing I want is a newbie rushing trades this late in the season.
However, there is merit to a new owner getting a head start.
-
Lol. He's not unlucky, he's a Dad Runner. He'd turn a single to right into a 9-3 out.
-
Sorry misconstrued that - he has the 12 highest difference behind some of our favorite sub-Mendoza players (Cozart, K. Morales, J. Harrison to name a few). Apparently they’re getting the shaft...
-
Looking to deal very affordable Justin Smoak for a reliever. Has the highest difference in wOBA and xWOBA in the majors (in a good way).
-
Thanks
-
Note: Big Papis accidentally cut Sheffield and messaged me immediately. Sheffield's been added back to his team. I'll do the same for anyone else as long as they message me immediately after the mistake.
-
I'm cutting Stanton, anyone interested make an offer before I do
-
That is crazy. Stupid juiced ball
-
Just wanted to say that the average p/g for team hitting was 5.20 last year and right now its 5.63. The high last year was 5.45, which would currently rank eighth. Pretty crazy

That was the initial change, but they revised it to payout top 3. 200/100/50
-
Dumb question, but only the top two get payouts this year right?

And (quick plug) for those interested...have some heavy hitters available for the stretch run.
-
I don’t have much of an opinion either way. The “market” dictates things and with it being a 3 horse race, I’d imagine there is no shortage in alternative options if a price is too high. I will say I think I’m pulling for the underdog here after Juan’s series of moves.
-
I would just say that there was some negotiation involved. A few different offers were thrown around - including some major league talent - but ultimately this was one where both sides got what they wanted/needed
-
Yeah, I guess I'd be on board with it if it were at the deadline. But it's the middle of June, Freeman doesn't have to be traded for like 8 weeks.
-
I'm def jealous of the trade. Especially since both the prospects could have been had as free agents not too long ago, and now they get moved for a top 10 hitter. However, I'll just tip my hat to JPCT for picking up the prospects and being aggressive on the trade front. The moron over here traded his assets for McCutchen and Altuve.
-
Feels light to me too lol. But I hadn't had any better offers since early May.

Moneyballs, it is crazy how neck and neck things have been the last month, jockeying for that top position!

Does that Freeman return seem a little light to anyone else? Not a lot of discussion on here lately!
